really you just need a decent enough non-linear editor to recognize the frame rates. any of the cheaper adobe softwares (the elements stuff) are capable of down-converting the 60fps to 29.97. All you really have to do is slow the 60fps clips down to around 50-40% speed on a 30fps timeline.
From my personal experience I prefer the look of 60 fps converted down to 23.987, but that's if you're shooting your normal speed clips in 24p.
all in all, if you're investing in equipment capable of shooting decent 60fps, I advise investing in software good enough to convert the footage properly. or at least learning how to use bittorrent hah.
