I know I can google this, well I have, a bit. So my co-worker is caughing up blood, I told him to go t the hospital ASAP. He says he has pain at night that feels like he is being stabbed. WTF. Should dude go? Should he play it out and see what happens? I do know that no one on here is a DR, etc..Just wanting to shed light on this subjust from the outside. I have EMT training and believe he should go ASAP.
Yea none of those things sound bad at all, im sure he can just wait it out, prob just allergies... If i were him id be at the hospital now, or at least have consulted a doctor.
definitely consult a doctor. Internal bleeding is a big deal and potentially having blood in your throat at night can be deadly obviously. and with most men, we have trouble going to a doctors because we feel like we can stick through it and its not a big deal. i read an article about it and the stats showing men procrastinating looking into their injuries and what not. i'm no pro but i hope this helps
holy fuck that sounds unpleasant. the blood coughing incident was in school so i just sort of hacked it up then acted like a hardass in front of everyone. but pissing blood would probably make me faint just on general principal.
my one buddy started coughing up blood but it was just from the large diamonds coming out of his lungs. he made bank on those... guess you could call em blood diamonds...
but seriously, why would you not get that checked out. internal bleeding is usually a sign of... well... bleeding, which isn't good at all.
maybe so. But if an EMT thinks it's best to ask in an online forum if coughing up blood is an emergency, then he or she should not be an Emergency Medical Technician.
