The Way I See it was put together a lot better. Soundtrack, editing, and as usual MSP killed it with the big mountain stuff, like Kaj's segment. Not to mention the insane AK jump and Colby's hilarious segment. Revolver's soundtrack was not very good, it blended together a lot. The organization was not as good, but it had a few really good standout segments, like Carlson's, Dumont's, and Jossi's to name a few. It depends what you like. In my opinion you could get side by side or eye trip if its available to you, those were two best movies in my opinion
Revolver was long, and there was like tons of the same stuff in a row. The only parts that really stood out for me were Dumonts, Jossi's, Carlson the Edmonton Urban Trip and Charley Ager. The rest was just like repeated pow after pow shot which I don't mind, but their was a ton.
Go for The Way I See it best big mountain movie out there and some really smooth jumps shots to watch in their. It has a better soundtrack and better editing then Revolver too.
The Way I See It by faaarrr. So much more entertaining to me then revolver. Personally Sean Petit's segments are usually my favorite out of ski movies, so thats a big plus. Also i loved the whole AK segment and Colbys jokes. Revolver has really good skiing still, just not as entertaining to me.
If a mainstream formulaic movie is what you're looking for, either would probably be fine. I'd grab the MSP one for my money.
BUT might I suggest grabbing something from one of the other companies that are dropping DVD's (perhaps Stept or 4bi9)? There are less heli shots, but some of us prefer the simplicity.
