Dont hate need help with gopro editing

for some reason i cant seem to find any information for editing with windows instead of using a mac can some one help me out??  what program should i use to convert to mov?  will movie maker work?  or should i download a new program but what and from where?  thanks for the help please no hate or ass hole remarks just need some help

First of all, your Go Pro is a camera, not a video file. We should shy away for substituting "MP4" with "Go Pro" in order to keep everyone in the loop.

Next, Windows Movie Maker is awful and I don't think you can import MP4 into it. Converting to a different format just for that would be a huge pain in the ass for no return. Use Google and find out how to get Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas to start learning. Anyone can do it, you just have to mess around to get the basics until you get hung up on something more difficult.

I don't know if that answers all your questions or not, but hopefully it helped some.

PS - If people want to hate, your pleas for civility aren't going to stop anything. Just ask your question like an adult and sift through anything that isn't helpful. No big deal.

Hey, so you can edit using windows movie maker all you need is a codec for h.264 which you can download from download.com. If you have a recent version of windows (vista or 7) you can edit using movie maker because it handles hd files. For the output it's not that bad just make sure you have the right output formar for the format you shot in. Have fun.

Cyberlink Power Director 8 is a good noob editing program that allows MP4 input, I suggest it to you there are some torrents for it on kickass I believe

format factory worked good. just download that. you need to change it to a WMV file and then you can import it right into windows movie maker.

i had the same problem but i did some searching on the internet and found that out. its real easy. good luck

I use Sony Vegas Pro 10 for my editing, its great for the GoPro because it can work with the .mp4 files natively without converting the files. There is a bit of a learning curve, especially when re-rendering your videos, if your not careful you could loose a lot of definition in your videos. Its not free but there is a free trial available.
