When I said i used the term loosely, I meant any so-called argument involving the limiting of gay rights. It isn't an argument. An argument can't be decidedly won with illogical reasoning, and that's all that bigotry is. As for this post...
''Martin is not much different than Cretien.''
I agree. Oh, wait, that is, aside from them being opposed to each other on dozens of issues across the political board since 1988.
'I'm going to ask you in all seriousness. Have you ever left Vancouver? I just would like to know.'
I've been to half a dozen states, France, Switzerland, Italy, England, Greece, and Turkey (though technically, it was just an island that belonged to Turkey). Since you asked.
Presumably, for as smart of guy as you make yourself out to be, surely because someone else has a different opinion than you should not automatically make them 'know nothing.'
One, I never said you knew nothing. Second, how is making a statement that is entirely wrong ('A liberal is a liberal') an opinion that I should just accept? It isn't an opinion. It's an assertion. And you're wrong.
'...Yet this child does not even get a say in whether it wants two parents of the same gender or not?'
This argument makes no sense whatsoever. Children don't decide to have heterosexual parents, either. Hell, I bet kids who have clowns for dads get made fun of in grade school, but that doesn't mean I think clowns shouldn't be able to have kids.
'but in choosing this lifestyle, they have to realize that somethings for them will be different.'
First, it's not a choice. They don't get up in the morning one day and flip a coin and get the gay side. Secondly, some things may be different, but their rights and freedoms cannot be infringed upon.
'Furthermore, I am having trouble finding the hate in that quote.'
If you don't see any problem with someone singling out a race as a problem in a particular region of the country, I hold out little hope for you. Basically, he's saying the liberals only win ridings in the west because of the asian agenda. No, you're right, it doesn't sound like he's being at all stereotypical.
'after anytime the same party is in power for an extended period of time, change is needed.'
Not change for the worse. Besides, a Martin administration is quite a shift from the Chretien one that has been in place for so many years.
Honestly... do a little research. I've read books, reports and finance ministry documents written by and about Paul Martin; his personal philosophy, his history, his political intentions. He's really quite moderate, and quite reliable as far as politicians go. I'm voting for him.

A stormy haze
I’ll be around
I’ll be loving you

Here I am
And I’ll take my time
Here I am
And I’ll wait in line
