Yes, if you can handle manually setting the exposure and focusing it's a great camera

It's an outstanding camera--the best low-level DSLR that money can buy. If you are seriously interested in HD videography or photography, this is your go-to camera. You need to be proficient at ISO and other settings, but as long as you're good with tech gear and you have at least a basic knowledge of photography, you should be fine. And remember that you'll need at the very least a Class 6 SD Card.
