How the hell did you guys get through high school and still have time to ski?! This sucks!! With homework that takes up all of my life, I hardly have any time to ski or just fucking relax!!! Tell me how you guys got through high schoo!!!

Whether or not you see it now, highschool is going to probably be one of your most valued/important experiences. You have your entire life to ski... I mean I love shredding just as much as the next guy but there comes a time that you need to put something you love off for something more important like your future. Unless of course you're a lazy scumbag drop out, nothing wrong with that either.

I'm not gonna lie, I actually like high school. I'm in honors classes and even with the homework I still had a lot of fun and good memories. Appreciate it while you can.

What they don't tell you is that high school grades don't mean anything unless you plan on applying to a pretentious college that will put you in debt until you're 40.

You know what else looks good on a resume? A Highschool diploma. Which you can get from online classes. Online classes from the only all-online Charter school in the country that was acknowleged by US Education Secretary Arne Duncan as a great example of how technology is transforming learning. Not to mention the science and math teachers are nominated for presidential awards for outstanding teaching in the US. Which is the highest award a teacher can receive.

Well you're absolutely wrong and misinformed on the topic of online classes. Everybody thinks that when they hear the word "online classes". They automatically think that since someone takes them, They are socially retarded and/or have no friends which is not entirely true at all. I am taking them for the benefit of me being able to ski and travel to compete. A lot of people take online classes for the sole purpose of being able to progress more in their chosen path of sport or whatever they are into.

I was in full IB until grade 11. It really depends on your teachers, I skied competively missed 34 days of school a semester and got exempted from pretty much all assignments which allowed me to keep an 80% average. My one social teacher would give me 80% on assignments that I missed because I was a "higher-learning individual" by his standards. I'm in Grade 12 now and missing this much school fucking sucks now, but high school is uber fun, if your in IB I say drop it, excel in regular classes and have more free time. I realized IB wasn't going to make a difference for my career path anyways. So unless your applying Yale or Harvard I wouldn't reccomend it.

i actually just came off of a week and a half skiing every single day except a couple when did the whole christmas/ travel thing

i'm a junior in hs and usually skiing 3 days/ week at the mountain, most other days in my back yard.

Running start, if you have that where you live. You could be in high school and take 2 classes at the high school and 3 at a community college. Decide what days you have class. You could make it so you go to school monday wednesday friday or what ever.

idk why everyone says taht grades dont matter at all, because they do. Now if you dont care what college you get into or you want to pay full tuition for college then it probably doesnt matter, but if you wanna get into a good school and get some of it payed for you, then id say they do matter

you dont need IB to get into a North American University, maybe if you want to go abroad it would help but i dropped that after grade 10, it wasnt worth it for me
