Suggestions to my setup

So, my setup's way to fast, I'm coming in with to much speed, but I can't find a way to fix it without building a new, which I wouldn't prefer.

Do you have any suggestions, how to make my setup better? That would be appreciated :-)

1) Take a mini speed check at the bottom.
or
2) Start lower.

Can you make the distance from drop in to rail longer? Or change the angle of the rail? Put it slightly up?

the sketchup's not exactly as it is, i have no time to brake down before the kicker.. and it's impossible for me to start lower because the dropin's like 2 feet wide..

no, i cant because of the wall at the end, so i would hit it everytime i land ... :) but changing the angle might just help a little...

how much do you like your skis? you could score the bases a bit if you use really shit skis for this setup. that'll slow you down a bit. otherwise you can make the jump onto the rail bigger and turn it into a slight downrail. ie. you go down the ramp, up a longer lip then onto the rail. just a thought

no worries. turning it into a street/down rail will be a bit of work but it should make it more interesting. you'll have the same amount of speed coming down the inrun but the higher lip will slow you down a little bit

but if i make it a downrail, that will give me more speed, so it wont change that much in the end...

do you want to slow down your speed getting onto the rail or your speed after the whole setup before you hit the wall?

because if you're worried about hitting the wall you should just get a pallet from your local supermarket and prop it up...turn it into a quarterpipe....sort of

the trick isnt to slow it down then.....you need a longer rail

soo wat you need to do is stand on your drop in with your poles and put ur poles and plant them down the drop in as far as possible. mark the spot ur poles were and put a small peice of wood or sumthing to push your poles against so when your droping in you can really creep down the top of the drop in. then when you get to the right spot you just pick ur poles up drop in and have less speed to do your rail trickery. sory if that doesnt make sens but it works i had the same problem.

make a longer down rail, elevate the beginning of the rail and start from halfway on the down part...

also, if the down part is too long/fast, remove snow and use turf instead....

Make an up down rail. The up section will slow you enough and the transition from up to down with let you do your switch ups. If you have enough speed, you can pop the down and practice 4 outs or whatever. Anyways, i find an up down very fun to practice on, in stead of a flat rail.

Because the roof's very thin, so it prevents me from centering my body weight on one place, which could cause the roof to break

the flat just needs to be longer, even build it slightly up,a dn then just put the lip almost right up against the rail.

I was just being a tool.  One thing I would recommend is using lattice of PVC roller for the drop in instead of snow.  If there is any flex in your drop in, the snow wont hold and it usually doesn't stick well to wood anyway.

Ive attached turf to the dropin and put snow on top, it holds up fine :)

haha i cant wait for footage if you hitting that wall HARD after pulling a sketch blindside 2 off or something and just not seeing that wall coming
