Snowboard movie companies - explain

Alright, I know relatively little about snowboard movie companies, I admit, and I'm sure there are others out there like me. So give me a rundown so I can get an idea. Are there equivalents of PBP, MSP, Level 1, etc? How would you describe or equate these companies to ski movie companies? Can one?

Almost all snowboard movies that I see at least are made by companies, and consist of the riders who are on that company's team. Stepchild, Technine, and others all make movies with their riders having the segments. Not too many movie companies like in skiing.

This. Technine is not a film company. The film company that works with Technine is Finger on da trigger productions (which may as well be technine because it was made by mfm).

people crew, mack dawg, alterna, and sandbox would be my picks, snowboard movie companies and snowboard movies are different in the snese that most companies put out team movies rather than filming crews putting out movies

i would compare it more to skateboarding then skiing. They put out team/company movies.

Pretty sick. Grassroots, WildCard and Think Thank are at the top. Compared to skiing, it's a lot of the same riders every time, I feel like the snowboard world has just been sitting on these pros for a while and no new people have come in. Then again, I haven't been paying much attention either..

I'm gonna take a stab at what he asked and try and do some equivalents:
Absinthe - PBP : Epic Footage, Big Names, Not very creative editing or music choice
TGR - TGR (Pretty sure they make a seperate ski/board movie each year now).
MFM/FODT - Stept? Mostly Urban Stuff in mostly huge clothes.. Many a gang sign in there yo
Think Tank - Closest we have is Travelling Circus/ CASG?

I thought Pirate Productions, Isenseven and MFM were the best of the snowboard flicks this year.

There are both kinds of movie companies.  Some companies put out movies, for example DC has put out a few Mountain Lab movies, Stepchild has put out at least one team movie, Burton of course has a few team movies, and probably other teams I just can't think of cause its so early.

But then there are companies that just make movies with a mix of riders; for example Sandbox, People, Standard, Absinthe, Think Thank, and a bunch of others

I think it's a good mix.

alot of gear companies make their own movies, forum, burton, capita, stepchild has done a few. grenade does a movie every two years. most companies only release films every two seasons, except for forum which has lately been releasing a film every season.

then theres grassroots, transworld, people, absinth, brainfarm, fodt, think thank, ETC. beyond them there are countless numbers of little independant companies making videos for free on the internet and shit.
