"9/11 was an inside job"

I don't know how old you were but I was a freshman in highschool and I remember ever hour of that day. There is no way in he'll that our government created 9/11. Nobody new there would be 4 planes and nobody knew if more had been hijacked. How would u like to be the person responsible for giving the shoot down if there were more highjackings. But 93 went down anyways. We Almost shot down

i was typing on my ipod and got cut off.

we were going to shoot down a flight from madrid because we thought it was hijacked because it was non responsive. we got through to them and they landed.

the president did give shoot down orders but it was too late. people tend to forget its the "government" they are just people. they do not have a magic wand. the world had never experienced what happened on that day. when you have an event that large people find loose ends and fill in information that they do not have, creating events that should not be connected together. this is how conspiracy theories start.

to the person who said they lost a bunch of money or gold the next day, guess what? every gold brick was accounted for.

how did the towers fall? there is raw footage of molted steel dripping down the side of the towers where the planes hit. so unless there were a bunch of guys inside with blow torches cutting through the beams (and not burning to death in the fire) I would say the fire got so hot it melted the steel.

Air force one also had extremely poor communication. they did not even have satellite TV and the phone lines were sketchy and hard to communicate to direct orders.

i remember the stories and the news trying to piece things together. for a while there we thought that there was going to be an attack every half hour.

or another theory, that the tallest buildings were the target. they evacuated the entire island.

also, the president finished his story at the school because the president is the symbol of freedom and democracy. if he would have rushed out of the classroom he would have gave more fuel to the enemies. we have to have a leader who can instill tranquility in our people. i believe he did the right thing and not scare the children and the country.

Bush was also evacuated that night in the white house as well because the white house believed we were being attacked by fighter planes (which turned out to be our own that were flying up and down the river and was on the wrong frequency channel). if it were an inside job why would we do that to our own government?

or what about the reports people forget about. there were reports of a bomb at the state department, a fire on the national mall, a hijacked Korean airliner bound for the US and a call in threat to air force one. the caller had used the planes code name, Angel, which few people knew.

there were also reports of a high-speed object flying towards bushes ranch in crawford.

between 9/11 and mid 2003 the CIA reported to the president on an average of 400 SPECIFIC threats each month. the CIA tracked more than twenty separate alleged large-scaled attack plots, ranging from possible chemical and biological weapons operations in Europe to potential homeland attacks involving sleeper operatives. some reports mentioned specific targets, including major landmarks, military bases,universities and shopping malls.

they had been planing the attacks for almost a decade. dont you think the terrorists thought of almost every single angle and possible outcomes? they had the upper advantage. we had intelligence that we knew they wanted to use planes as weapons but that was it.

because of the unprecedented events on 9/11 our country has been divided on those who think it was an inside job and those that believe it was the terrorist group Al Qaeda.

if you believe our government did all that to its own people than you are doing more damage to society than the terrorists. To believe it was an inside job makes me sick and you will forever be un-american in my mind.

actualy the two army jets were told to take down the 4th plane. citizens crashed themselves. the two army planes didnt even have ammo. they were going to fly their plane into the hijacked plane.

thats exactly what we are saying. what interests are they protecting exactly? oil? that would be the only logical "interest" you seem to refer to. which is pretty far fetched. besides, if we wanted more oil we would have attacked Iran, not Afghanistan.

so lets see:

1) the government somehow covers up the largest attack on American citizens in the history of our country and somehow succeeds? dont you think somebody would have come clean already? that would be a pretty big secret to take to your grave. you could hand me the world and i still would have to tell somebody before i died. pretty unlikely.

2) The stock market did not open that morning and stayed closed since september 17th - the longest close since the great depression. estimated lost costs throughout the world estimated at 1.2 trillion. do you think that our country would screw over the world and risk a financial meltdown just to "secure our interests?" thats also pretty messed up.

3)If we attacked our own country then were we also responsible for the attacks on Bali, Jakarta, Riyadh, Istanbul, Madrid, London, Amman, and Mumbai? because the terrorists also attacked those cities as well over the next decade. would those be considered protecting our "interests?"

it took almost 10 years for the terrorsits to hatch out their plot. do you think our government (which changes every couple of years) could somehow come up with an idea that large? fuck no.

Man, that was thick headed. What I am saying is one of the fundamental reasons that people will believe conspiracy theories is a denial of something else. In this case, the rudimentary element here is Islamic terrorism. If some people do not believe that it could manifest on its own, or actually be used on a fairly large attack like on 9/11, then it is easy to latch on to other postulations. With many of the 9/11 conspiracies, some people go to great, obscenely obsessive lengths to try to tie every event, every scrap of something together to make their explanation seem cohesive. As observation, it would seem that most theorists find it easier to believe that government entities could orchestrate something so massive and complex, involve so many people, rather than pissed off Muslims. Doesn't hurt when many people have existing conspiracies on things like the New World Order, and other controlling entities and... secret organizations. Throw in a little ambiguity and we get reposted and clusterfucked with conspiracy theories to death.

You can look in this thread alone and see what I mean, let alone on the interwebz, books, and shit like that.

Likewise, I must be spoon fed, according to you. I never said the government wouldn't kill, but there is a strange paranoia about the government that puts me off about these conspiracies. The thing that really pisses me off is that... what most of us know or perceive about 9/11 doesn't come from what the government told us (because how many people have actually looked at official reports completely?), but rather a conglomeration of thousands of bits from media, from witnesses, from all sorts of shit, mostly from the day of and shortly after. There are small gaps, but that doesn't mean that the government had some (or to most conspiracy theorists, nearly complete) control over the events of that day. But give a conspiracy theorist, or ignoramus, a little bit of ambiguity, simile (please people, simile does not make it true), government contempt, and youtube and you get all this shit.

The Pentagon, for instance, seems to get so much traction, but why? Oh, that security camera shows a blur but not the plane, therefore it was probably some sort of missile or something? Never mind that it was going over 500MPH. Must be convenient. Please disregard the thousands (not hyperbole) of eyewitnesses that were on S Washington Blvd, I-395 and vicinity, the thousands (not hyperbole) of other people in DC (including some members of the inevitable government-corrupted media from places like USA Today) that saw a bloody plane, and American Airlines plane at that, fly in to the building. But hey, I have a video with some people that are unsure of what they saw, thus I can safely conclude the government was involved, because I have video from somebody with an agenda that goes against what the seething government told me. Those other people don't know shit.

The government must have painted a plane-looking missile or decoy plane to strike the building because of the American Airlines debris at the Pentagon. Or is it a conspiracy because there aren't any plane debris? I'm still a bit confused on the "official" conspiracy. The passengers making calls? All part of the plan to make it look real. Those passengers... they're all fake, or in a protection program, or were killed to make it look real (you'll hear all three, and more, all the time). Just throw something out there, it has to make more sense than terrorists.

the reason nobody important was at the pentagon is because nobody important works there. The pentagon is the headquarters of the department of defense. at the time we were not at war so why would anybody of importance be there? and if there were somebody really important there they would have been evacuated after the second plane hit the towers because thats when we knew the attacks were intentional.

i just watched the video.

only three things interested me:

1) that there could have been termite explosives mixed into the paint and exploded right before the planes hit. but wouldnt it have made more sense to blow the explosives right before the buildings collapsed? not right before the plane hit? i guess it would weaken the structure for the plane impact.

2) that they found all four black boxes which contradicts the 9/11 report.

3) that the black box recordings prove that the terrorists were on the ground BEFORE the plane took off while still on the runway. proving that there was no takeover of the plane but that they WERE the pilots.

what does this mean?

I still stand by my guns and believe it was not an inside job but i do believe the government covered up important details that showed us that this could have been better planed than we thought.

I believe the bush administration felt so shocked that the terrorists had planned this attack extensively. ill break my break down for you

1) what if the terrorists did plant bombs or explosives in the towers. what if they wanted to bring down the towers.

2) what if there were black boxes recovered and it did prove the terrorists were in the pilot seat in the planes. that would mean they WERE actual pilots (i guess that would make them a terrorist pilot.)

In March of 2002 the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) mailed a letter notifying a Florida flight school that it had granted student visas to Mohamed Atta and Marwan al Shehhi. those were two pilots who had flown airplanes into the twin towers.

What if the terrorists didnt storm the plane, what if INS unknowingly granted false visas which would have gave them paperwork when they trained for their pilot license?

I believe we were taking so baldly by surprise that if we came out with the real reasons we screwed it would have been an even greater disaster. if all this is true, bad move by the bush administration.

but then again, there are some things we should just leave alone. if all this is real do we really want to know? i guess the answer is still yes, especially if you lost a love one.

The arguments in this thread are delicious

they planned the whole thing pretty extensively, but in the end, their whole plan summed up to "fly planes into buildings. See how many people die." They figured just flying into the buildings would kill plenty, and hadn't anticipated actual collapses.

Flying a plane is in essence, not that difficult. What they were bad at was landing and taking off. IE the 2 things they knew they were never going to do. They pretty much used nothing but the control yokes, and the throttles. When your using only those, all planes are the same. They will go wherever you point them. And they flew using geographic landmarks, which really isn't that difficult.

I still think the govt withheld some info, but wasn't responsible for the entire thing.

I don't think anybody here is saying that the US Gov't is 100% responsible for the WHOLE thing. However, if they weren't responsible in any way at all, they should release more information and not block efforts to reopen the investigation. I mean, don't you find it odd that an entire building that fell is omitted from the "Official Report"?

When it boils down to it, conspiracy or not, we knew about the threat well before it happened and did virtually nothing to stop it.

i think a lot of people are missing a key point here. every time someone says the US government did it and not the medieval pigheads hiding in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Yemen, it makes the war on terror harder and harder to win. the struggle against them is greater than the 11th Sep 2001. its about basic humanity and ensuring that they don't try to take us back to a system of corporal punishment and making women wear hoods over their faces everywhere they go, to name but a few of their archaic practices.
