Turbo cars

post what kind of car you have and whats done to it. I just want to see what people are rollin in that are turboed.

i drive an 05 dodge srt4 , with a big turbo and a few other bolt ons :)

(delta 44 w/ full supporting mods)

though, yes ill say in that situation AWD would have been better, but how often do you drive around in 2 feet of snow? if its less that a foot, id probably take RWD with good snow tires.

AWD is good for fast cruising under the cars limits, but i hate pushing an AWD car. it takes sooo much just to get the tail out, unless you cheat with loads of power. you can actually get a RWD car to do what you want.

its not that having lots of power is cheating, its when people rely on it to make their driving "better" like the people who just drive through the 1st half of the corner then nail the throttle to spin the tires and get the tail out, rather than entering the corner in a slide, which is 10x harder. the less power you have the more important all the hard parts are :) accelerating is the easy part.

E46 have a lot of issues and the s54 3.2 motor is literally a racing motor. After 90k it requires crazy upkeep... Not as liab

Fail... As i was saying.. Not as reliable or daily driveablenas an e36. They have subframe issues as well. Dont get me wrong i love the e46, but for me, mow, e36 is a better choice

idk about the e30 being the better car, maybe it was just the one i drove. i just love the style. id take an 36 over most out there. look at sc300s too. they have the 2jz

you drove an e30? or e30 m3?
either way, both e30 m3's and e30's in general dont feel all that sporty just driving around, even driving around quickly, they feel kinda soft and just meh. but when you start to push them, they just click and everything works right, the balance of the car and balance of the power, gearbox, brakes, grip etc.. all work so well together, its hard to explain, and its especially true for the m3.

03 a4, 1.8t sitting stock right now. plan on either getting apr chip, k03 turbo. coiloivers at some point too

2001 GMC Duramax

Balanced motor: Brand new balanced shortblock, de-lipped pistons, new crank, new heads, new diesell "headers", 180% injectors, 200% CP3, Twin turbos, lift pump, currently Running an EFI live tune we made for the truck.

Current Specs on a loaded dyno at 5000 feet above sealevel:
Horsepower at the rear wheels: 1035
Torque: 2237 ft lbs.

A 7600 lb truck that does 0-30 in just over 4 seconds....
1/4 mile is right around the low 10s with drag radials on it.

I forgot to mention that its a DIESEL and it shifts at 5300rpms when you really get on it.

5300 rpms in a fucking diesel!

The motor is supposed to handle up to 7000 rpms without any problems.

Triple post but heres a pic of the motor without all of the turbo plumbing and stuff that blocks the pretty motor once we installed it. The turbo you see is the smaller turbo that feeds into the large phatshaft turbo that is off to the side.
