if anyone has watched portugal play they have absolulty no defence, if greece scores early, they are screwed... if not it will be an even game. what about that Renaldo... hes only 19!!

This sucks. The most BORING Euro Final EVER. And Greece and their BORING tactics won by playing their ultra destructive, super defensive crappy no-talent-required style soccer. Just my humble oppinion.

A big day for Greece, a sad day for European soccer.

I don't care what people say. Any team can stay back on the pitch like they did, and wait for the opponent. It's called destructive soccer. Yes, the Greeks did this VERY effectively, but if all teams were to aply theese new playing methods to their game, Soccer would die, it would become so VERY boring.

Look at some of the stats:

Portugal had 17 shots on goal, Greece 4. Portugal had 437 completed passes, Greece 236.
Portugal had 10 corners, Greece 1.

Portugal played soccer like everyone should play it. Greece just stayed back and waited for them. Greece had NO real chance of scoring a 'real' goal. They got the goal on a corner kick, like the match agaist the Czechs. Lucky lucky lucky...

Well... Congratulations, but i hope - I HOPE - that this is not where soccer is going.

(And be the way, Im not from Portugal)

^ i agree, its such a pussy ass way to play soccer, granted im not saying that everyone should play all there men forward, but i can honestly say i didnt enjoy watching one match that greece was in. There boring to watch. Props to them for making it this far, but fuck them for being so boring

THe reason they one is because there defence and you just cant face the fact that greece made a comeback after all these years. FYI during the chez vs Greece in athens a city with 500,000 people there was only one call to the police because they were all watching the game.

I think the best part of the final was when teh crazy fan ran onto the soccer field and just vaulted himself right into the net wiht like 50 guys in pursuit... that was really funny

that had to be the gayest, most boring final ever. the reason Greece got into the finals evades me...oh wait, no it doesnt, its because they play such bad soccer, the opposing team cant believe their eyes, and are stunned as a greek player stumbles by them.

greece sucks, france and holland shuld have been in the finals.

They might qualilfy for the WC. But I think it's pretty sure that this was a one-timer. During the whole Euro Cup everyone has considered them as a lower team. No one is going to make that mistake anymore. The greeks will get their asses whooped next tounarment :-D
