A question for canadians

here in america, on our pizza we have the choice to put canadian bacon on it as a topping. up in the great white north, do you call it bacon and the delicious smoke flavored meat strips we have in america AMERICAN bacon?

Now i dont know much about canadians but from what i've seen on southpark, the top if their heads are separated from the bottom at the mouth... Also i hear theres some pretty good skiing up there

actully its called candaian bacon because when the pig its split up into sections the canadaians get the back/top of the pig, the americans get the sides, and everyone else gets everything else....the canadians just thought they get a different name for it even though its just inches away from real "bacon"....my brother watched a discovery channel exclusive on bacon and pigs when he was surfing in a rocking chair on pain meds from is surgery...true story

ham is not peameal bacon god damn it. back bacon is not peameal. bacon is not ham. back bacon is canadian bacon. but to make back bacon peameal it has to be brined and rolled in cornmeal.

the cuts from where it came from the pig and the way it is prepared before eating is what distinguishes the different kinds.

to answer your question its called back bacon.
