60p import FCP crash

I've been trying to import content off a SDHC card into final cut. I originally shot it on my HMC-150. It is 60p/720 each time I tried to do so it crashed my edit system and the log and transfer failed. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this to work. I would appreciate the advice. Thanks!

maybe try converting the footage from the card into a format like prores and then try and import into fcp
