fuck it was insane today up at Hood. usually it takes me about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to Meadows from Portland, today it took me 3 and half hours. it took me 45 minutes to travel one 3 mile section, all because DUMBASS oregon drivers who are horrified and clueless when it comes to driving in 3 inches of snow decided to pull over in a non-chain up area and block the road. the really stupid thing? there is literally a sign that says chain up area, which is less than a mile after where all the dumbasses were blocking the road and that chain up area is HUUGGEEEEEE, right at that point.
tons of dumbasses throwing chains on their subi's and awd/4x4 vehicles....the stupidity by oregon drivers was raised to unprecedented levels today.
then after i finally get up to meadows....all three lots are "full" and im not allowed to go up. so i sit on the side of the road for 1.5 hours and finally after probably 3 dozen cars leave im finally allowed to drive up...of course i go straight to the main lot where there are TONS of open spaces and find a spot in like the 5th row. yet another Meadows parking crew FAIL. of course there were typical 35 minute lift lines to throw a nice cherry on top.
i will never ski around the holidays on Hood again, its just not worth it. between all the dumbass drivers who decide to take their kids up to the resorts in their mustangs (yes, i counted 3 mustangs), dodge chargers, chevy aveos, and honda civics and the insane crowds i could strangle a baby.
what is wrong with oregon drivers? they lack all common sense and are the biggest pussies on the planet. i miss utah drivers. i should be used to this by now, since its my 7th year in this state, but each season the bar for idiocy gets set higher and higher.
