Salomon Sth 14 driver vs. Look px. 12 jib

On soon too be armada ar7 skis....
I've narrowed it down to these two bindings and I'm wondering which one is truly better.
Look px 12 jib: I've heard that theyre heavy, and wear out after a season(heelpiece won't click)
Salomon Sth 14 driver: better than the Sth oversizes, but pricier. Toe piece adjusts well? Also I've seen almost all of the armada team riders, riding this binding so that's a good sign.....
40$ isn't that much money to me if the Walloons are really that much better. Opinions, comments, horrible accidents were the bindings saved you(or killed you) will all be appreciated. Sorry if this is a replay, +k

I'd go with the STH 14 driver, I do believe there is a 12 driver out there too. Check Evo.com. Go with the 14 though, stronger toe piece, and the higher din setting means that you won't be straining your spring all the time.
I love the STH series. I'm on my 4th season of the STH 16, it's still holding strong, and I say I'm a pretty aggressive skier.

Thanks, drivers it is! And they're going on armada ar7's soooo sick..
Does anyone have any advice on size though? I'm thinking 166 compared to my current 155's, which are really small. And if I'm getting them centrmounted then the ski feels shorter. But I don't know if I should step up to the 171's.....? I'm 5'8 and 130lbs

I'm getting the 12 drivers cause my weight and height and shit doesn't fit into the 14's din range.. The 12's are chill though. They're the same goodtoe and everything from the 14 and 16, just a lighter din setting... On armada ar7's

Yer i was going to say with your weight you won't need the 14's. The sth12 driver toe peice should still be plenty strong enough for you and there liter and cheaper. I think Salomon are by far the best bindings. Just got a pair of sth14 drivers for this year.

Exactlyrightt.. Ifigured if its the same toepiece(cause the heels the same) then a better din for me is worth it. So I ordered them and there in transit. Thanks for everything everyone this is gonna be a sick season.

yeah you will probably be fine with the 12's, but get 14's if at all possible..

Well the 14 was sold out practically everywhere..... And if it was easier, cheaper, and better suited to get the 12 then I figured it was alright. I already ordered them so it's a done deal. But I'd still appreciate advice.. Do you think I'm gonna outgrow the din setting befor they're too bashed to use?

If you go with the px 12's make sure to ask them to not mount it with the plastic piece in between the binding and the ski, especially if you want a softer ski

Nope.
Unless you huck 100footers, you shouldn't need to have your din above 10, especially at your weight.
I've had my STH16s for 4 seasons now, and like I had, have destroyed many skis, and they've lasted. I'm 6'2", 170 lbs. And ski mostly big mountain, so a lot of steeps and charging and all that jazz. I have my din at 10.5, and they still release when they need to. If you're hard enough, you might have to get new bindings in a couple years due to it just being worn out from thrashing. Like mine, this season will be the last for my STH 16s.

Thanks a ton! I feel a lot better about getting the sth's. And hucking hundreds arent in my arsenal yet, it's mostly rails for me so I just need something that's not gonna get bashed when they get hit together during a spin or anything.. Sounds like I got the right bindings and the 12's were only 230 so 30$ isn't much compared to the px 12's
