Two questions, iPhone-related and a mounting query

Help me out kids

1) For christmas I got a little waterproof pocket thing that fits cameras, phones, etc. I know my iPhone will be pretty safe in a chest pocket, but what about condensation? Although it's waterproof, will temperature changes that happen when I go inside or back out create little droplets inside the sealed bag and fuck my iPhone 4 up?

2) Where should I mount my new Bibbys? (pics soon, they're beautiful) They're the 184's. Forget park. But I will be landing switch in pow, riding switch in pow sometimes, dropping cliffs, but I don't want to find myself too far forward.

Also, are the STH 12 Drivers a high enough din for me? I'm 6'3 160lbs Yup chicken legs and scrawny but strong and aggresive nonetheless

Yes, condensation may be a problem, not to the phone so much, more to the warranty stickers attached to the phone.


Mount it at the recommended.

I would have opted for the 16, just for the extra bits of metal, but it really depends on your current din setting.

there will only be condensation if there is moisture in the pocket when you seal it. pick up some moisture absorbing silica packets to put in the pocket (there are probably some that came with the waterproof pocket). cant help you on where to mount the bibbys though sorry

But assuming I follow the recommendation of not setting a din within 2 points of the limit, will I ever find myself with a din over 10? In the past with any skis 10 was the highest I ever needed.

i think the sth 16 starts at 9.. if you have to go solly i'd get the sth 14 driver..

you might go over 10 if you gain weight or get a new pair of boots. the stiffer the boot the more energy is transfered right to the binding instead of being absorbed by the boot. I went from an eight din to a 13 din from changing my boots.

id go for 14's personally, and unless youre set on the sth, dont be afraid to look at tyrolia peak 15's (or equivalent rebranded versions), fks/pivot, or marker jesters?

I'm built like you, tall and skinny. I think 12 would be good, considering it is alot easier for us tall guys to fuck up knees... I say set it at 12 and mound at recomended.

I would not set an sth12 at 12. If you are riding at that high of a setting, you need to sth16, it has more metal in it. That or get a pair of 916

id get the sth 14 driver over the 16, he said he never went past 10, so the 6-14 will be fine and leave him more room on the lower end should he ever need a din lower than 9.

that and the 14s are $70 or so cheaper than the 16s, which is always a plus
