GameStop Return/Exchange help.

I bought a game yesterday at GameStop and do not like it. I want to return it and exchange it for another, but "unfortunately we do not exchange new games once they are opened."

Has anyone had this problem before and successfully gotten to exchange a game?

GameStop does however exchange games which have been opened for the exact same game. I was thinking if I took one game exchanged it for the other then went to Wal-Mart and switched there because Wal-Mart does not work with receipts and just switches.

Any Suggestions?

GT5. Played it, Dont like it.

Im thinking I scratch the disk and return it for the exact same at walmart in hopes they reopen the package. Then bring it to a different walmart and exchange it for a game i want

Wouldn't that be dishonest?
In the future maybe do some research or rent a game before you buy it.  This probably isn't the response you are looking for though.  In any case, I also lol'd at your name and icon.

Its not dishonest, its just bending the rules to your advantage. Its not like I'm trying to get a free game. I just want a different one after I played it. But yes I should have rented first

no, it's not.


But yea, try returning it elsewhere or something without a receipt. I've always found it ridiculous that you can buy a game from gamestop, unwrap it, then take it back after 20 minutes, and either they won't take it back at all, or it's value has suddenly dropped $60

Yup. I tried to take it back exchange for the exact same one in hopes they wouldnt unwrap. That didnt happen so now im going to walmart to try that see if they are dumb enough to just flat out exchange for the game without unwrapping

i only go there for used games i know i want. the return policy and exchange rate is horrible.

take the game back to gamestop try to get a return because it isnt playing. if that doesnt work, try to exchange for a new unopened copy. then just take it to walmart and say you got it as a gift for christmas and dont have the receipt.
