Really Saga? Really?

Probly a repost, but i dont even care. First of all, they said on their website that the most delayed jackets (the pro model jackets and all the large jackets) will be shipping by the 27th or 28th. I still have no shipping confirmation email, or even an indication that my jacket will be here any time soon. I emailed them, and guess what? No reply! The worst customer service I have ever seen with any company. Come on Saga, you're a great company, you gotta step it up.

Never said he didn't have the right to complain, I just don't feel bad for him.

Would you rather have all of the employees responding to emails (since it seems like everyone emails the 20x a day) or trying to get shit out and sent. They already gave a date that they are going to start shipping the stuff that had not been shipped yet and it will probable take more than a day too do. If his stuff is not shipped in the next two days, shoot them another email or call them. Hassling them every hour will not make stuff that they just got get shipped faster.

They are a small company with limited funds and production power. Give them a break. Yeah, its sucks to not have your stuff on time, but lets be serious: They have never had their stuff sent on time. In fact, I think this has been one of their better years, at least they got some of it out on time.

The labor strike in China does not help either.

a. Growth is not a positive thing if the production line can't support it. Saga may benefit from a strong customer support right now but their poor customer service will hurt them in the long run if they don't do something about it, thats 100% guaranteed.

b. Au contraire, complaints are the main tool companies use to target their weaknesses. When complaints turn into solutions this shows customers that the company has their interest at heart and becomes an advantage!

why do people continue to stick up for saga? they never ship stuff out when they are supp to, and they have the worst customer service out there hands down. Sure they make sick looking gear, but thats all it is looks. The jackets suck, and the pants rip with ease. Its so dumb how all you kids still support such an unlegit company just because it looks cool.

Sure there are much more tech jackets out there, but the quality to price ratio on Saga is pretty good.  Shipping mishaps I expect from a first or second year company, but it seems like they should have smoothed out the kinks by now.  What's the deal Saga?

Dude chill the fuck out. Saga is top notch quality this year, and yes i do own quality gear besides my Saga.

how do u know this years stuff rips so easy did u buy some??

On the customer service side, all of u bitching and complaining name one company that is as small as Saga but distributes as much stuff and has better service. It is good service if you email or phone once and leave a message and then be paitent and wait a couple of days. U can tell that they are trying.

ON3P has to make their stuff by hand and ship it out and it only took a year for them to cut their production schedule in half.  And that's with 3-4 people making skis.

Oh, and the turnaround time on their customer service issues is extremely quick, especially considering they aren't sitting in an office doing God knows what, but actually making their product.  There is no excuse for slow response to customer service issues.  None whatsoever, excluding the explosion of one's home or a family death.

i understand that.

but Saga does not have the privlidge of being able to make there own product in utah by hand. and ON3P from what i could guess does not sell nearly as much product as what Saga does which is another step up on Saga. if ON3P had to have there stuff made in China to meet demands the shipping dates probably would not be 100% perfect either, plus ski companys dont do pre-orders from what i can tell, and they do not get every person ordering in the year ordering all at once

ON3P is probs one of the best companys in the ski industrie as well.

I was in no way being childish i was just pointing out my point of view

Okay, well then how come Jiberish put in their final orders in September-ish and had all their stock shipped from China by early December?  First Drop also got their stuff on time and they are brand new to the game.  I don't understand where the hold up is, it doesn't seem professional at all from my point of view.

its not the customers fault that saga after years and years decieds to use a slow and unreliable company? Why not make it here right in the us? oo it might be a few bucks more expensive and better quality, and people would actually get it on time..my bad i didnt know.

I own saga, the vader to be exact and i like it for the looks. its not warm, and all of my oakley, even the low end stuff is way better quality. Saga is a company made up of kids like you who constantly are blinded just by looks and would stick up for them even if it was proven 5 year olds in china were sewing their stuff toghter. You people would still find some way to justify that.

Yes i understand it is not the customers fault, i never blamed myself for the shipping messes or anyother customer. yes they do need to find a new company to manufacture,im not arguing that point. do u mean make it in the USA? and it really isnt that easy or just "few bucks more", because even billion dollar companys cant manufacture in the USA cause they will go bankrupt.

you did nothing wrong but hate on quality.

The vader is not one of this years jackets is it. it is one from past years and was not designed to be nice and cosy warm jacket, it is a SHELL. Since you do not own any of this years outerwear you have no wear to speak on how poor its quality is. its quality is very high this year,it is not as paper thin as in the past, and is insanly water proof. low end oakley stuff is more exspensive than Saga stuff so i would expect it to be better but in all seriousness it is not any more. And im not some little trend whore kid, i like Saga's products, i like how they look, i have had nothing but good experiance with my Saga this year. if Sagas factory uses 5yr to sew there stuff so does every other company using factories in China (realisticly).

There's some sincere confusion in this thread.

The sewing shops that almost all of our outerwear companies use are payed more or payed less depending on when they produce the garments in question. For a seasonal sport like ours, the companies who can pay more get first dibs on the sewing shops. Those who pay less have to wait, but that means they can offer their gear for less money because it costs less to produce. It's a time vs. money issue.

I don't know what to think about Saga's delays over the years, but I can say that I know very little about running an outerwear company. We could say it's unprofessional to miss timetables. We could argue that other companies do it better. However, we don't really know the day-to-day issues that they face, so I don't feel like we've got the right to excoriate them for the delays.

Sewing garments in the U.S. is insanely expensive. Expecting that or suggesting that as a solution to delays is ridiculous.

Saga is a small company that's trying to do good things for outerwear. They care about waterproofing (20K, AND three layer which is important). The stuff looks sick, and it's super cheap compared with other jackets on the market.

Extremely well put.  And as far as my comment.  Even if it was a month late I don't think I can name a company in the entire ski industry that has hit a deadline with their release dates in the last like 5 years.  Kids just need to understand that "shit happens"  Obviously its in Saga's best interest to get stuff out there ASAP and keep the customers happy but that is not always possible. 

And to the OP I wasn't trying to be a dick and say you are an idiot, its just that there are so many kids that will email and call constantly trying to find out where there stuff is and it makes them do twice the work and takes them away from getting stuff out on time.  Take it from a guy that works in CS for a shop and had kids call in literally every day for 3 weeks for their Surface x Skullcandy stuff, calling every day doesn't get your stuff there any faster. 

So yes, it does suck that your stuff was late, but it shouldn't be an end of the world apocalypse type of deal.
