So.... my friend was boarding up at whistler out of bounds and fell into about 15ft of powder(what I was told by his mom) upside down into a creek on Christmas eve. They had to call off the search and didnt find him until the next day, board still on and all. I hadn't seen cooper in awhile but this is like so wrong, i cant believe it. He was with his cousin but got separated and when he fell in he just couldn't get out himself. So i just want to remind everybody to always stay with a buddy in the out of bounds and the Bc... It really does save lives.

so shitty. big time + vibes. however from what i heard he was with some friends. they went into a little place in the trees above crystal chair (im sure everyone who skis here knows it) that has a bunch of little whoop dee doos. his friends came out and sat at crystal chair for 2 hours waiting for him. then contacted ski patrol at 3. and right now it gets hard to see around 4. im sure they regret it now but everyone needs to understand group skiing things like this, especially if youre skiing in the trees. dont wait 2 hours to talk to someone

RIP. Saw them take the body down past crystal chair while lining up the next day. Put a chill down my spine for sure. So much snow during the few days/week leading to this incident, i know the area well and can clearly understand how this could have happened. Like has been said already not trying to be a dick but in a situation like this 2hrs is way to long to wait considering the circumstances. If they were waiting at the bottom of crystal chair for 2 hrs they were probably less than 150m away from their friend. In this situation, at this time of day, ski patrol really should have been notified as soon any concern was present. Again, not being a dick just stating what was going on and trying to get a message out about what to do in similar circumstances.
