Full Tilt Foot Pain

Hey so I was sized small in a pair of Konflicts and they work pretty well with not too much pain, as long as I don't have a footbed in the boot. I've tried super feet and no matter what the pain is so intense I can't even take two runs. My question is are there problems or complications with not wearing footbeds in boots? I've heard of collapsing arch's due to this but wonder if there's validity in that

yes. without foodbeds your arches will collapse, your foot will strain, etc..

get food beds.

First of all you bought boots that don't fit. Try to go to a good bootfitter and get some footbeds fitted to your foot/arch to make your boots more comfortable.

is it like a foot cramp cuz i had this and all i had to do was loosen the bottom buckel and middle buckel a litttle bit and that worked for me no idea about you and all but yeah

If the pain is so bad you can't even take a second run then I don't think footbeds are going to make much difference to you at all. New proper fitting boots are the way forward

Your right. If your short on the cash then try and get some custom footbeds so they can align your foot in your boot properly and potentially not have as much foot pain.

Earlier you said that you boots are a little small? Just go grab some new boots. In the end you will be better off.

if you are getting the pain when you have footbeds in, just forget them, or get a full custom with minimal posting.

your arches may not respond well to a rigid posted footbed, may need time to adjust (but with that amount of pain, i doubt it) to the added arch, or you may just need a heel counter to provide stability and say fuck it to the arch support, as there may be no arch to support.

without seeing your foot, its hard to say. where is the pain coming from specifically? and make sure you remolded the liners for the beds, as they will have molded to your arch and the beds won't interface and line up properly.

first check your liners and make sure they are in the right boot i hae the same boots and i solved i with a couple of things first i found out that the liners were not in the right boots next you can get foam arch supports put those in because the boot doent come with liners. any foot bed you add will add volume that was not there before!  if it is your arch then get help from were you got them.

What you are really supposed to do in this situation, as a bootfitter, is add the footbed, and then grind the bootboard to accommodate the bed.

this. You need to stabilize your foot with the footbed, then modify the shell around your supported foot. This is best, most successful way to get anyone dialed in.

yo i had the same problem and i got them blown out twice and now superfeet fit. you need to find the right boot surgeon.

I got some 2011 hot doggers and when i tried them on in the shop they were the best fitting boot ive ever put on. Put my old footbeds in (wich were pretty much brand new) and they felt fine but after 1 or 2 hours on the first day skiing they just seemed too tight. So i took the footbeds out and have skied about 20 days on them now and there the most comfortable boot ever. Whether your suposed to ski with footbeds or not, it feels better and more natural for me without them in. Might put them in if the boot packs out and doesn't fit snug anymore.

i love it how the tread titel dosent say boot pain, but full tilt boot pain. as if he is super suprised you can ever have foot pain in a full tilt. the guy that came up with the idea to remarket this boot is a boss.

footbeds just don't correct "problems", they make everything perform better. It's like you just bought a Porsche but it came with a Buick steering, sure the car drives comfortably but it's not as good as it could be. Adding a footbed and having the boot properly fitted makes everything come together correctly

Yer i know that, but what i'm saying is i there isn't any difference in control, performance or support when i use my custom made footbeds compared to taking them out. Maybe the sole of the boot really suits my foot i guess. I suggest just take the footbed out and see how that goes. If your like me you might be happier without it.

Sounds like your boots fit really poorly. A custom footbed SHOULD make all the difference in the world.

And for the OP. If your boots are tight in places, or give you pressure points, you can probably get some punch work done. If you take the liner out of the boot and put your bare foot in the shell, and touch your toes to the front of the shell. If you can fit about 1 or 1.5 fingers behind your foot, your boots are the right size. Now all you need to do is get them punched. If ski boot companies made boots to fit everyone, 80% of people who had the right size would be swimming in them after 2 days of skiing. It boggles my mind that people think they should be able to wear boots right out of the box and have them work well.

His problem is that his foot is too narrow so it squishes making it impossible to fit foot beds in without pain. He needs to get them blown out and then he needs to have the custom footbeds and the platform under the liner needs to be sanded down to make room. Do a little trial and error with a boot doctor.

Nar i don't think you understand, i said there by far the best boots ive ever had. Ive had 7 pairs of boots in the past, all of them have been top of the range. All of them have had custom made footbeds and ive had to get all of them blown out in one place or another. This is the first pair that have fitted me perfect strait out of the box. I think your just jealous.

It also depends on how you ski and what you are doing. Every human foot is always more flexible than the ski boot and when forced the foot will move inside the boot, especially on landings for example. Feet splat and splay on a hard landing and footbeds will prevent your feet from jamming forward in the boot better than without a footbed. Will it be night and day for some people like you, sounds like no. Will it still help, of course.

if you have had alot of "top range" boots, and you didn't need any boot-work done on fulltilts... you are either a bullshitting douche, or you do not know how a ski boot should fit. If Fulltilts fit you out of the box, and you have actually had several "top range" boots... you do not have the right size. Period, the end.

and by that I mean... Fulltilt boots have a narrow toebox, a narrow midfoot, and have a very normal ankle area. So if the other so called "top range" boots required boot work, Fulltilts definitely should. Unless you have a very very very narrow foot, with cankles...

Or, you have a boot that is too big...

are you guys saying that you should buy something to put into your boots as an exessory to the boots and liners? If footbeds are something on top of the sole then I don't have them cause my arches are hugeee. just wondering if I should get some.

I had left foot pain in my classics when I first got them to the point where I couldn't walk. I think the guy at the ski shop said that this is somewhat common in full tilts. You'd be surprised at how much of a difference a foot bed can make.

no you take out the original boots sole and put in a footbed i suggest super feet the green ones. They make your feet smaller in your boot and act as a shock absorber

Footbeds are in no way a shock absorber. That foam is posting foam. They also do not make your feet smaller, they stabilize the foot, which may in turn shorten the footprint, on people with collapsed arches.

I think your boots just dont fit right. Foot beds should make a world of difference if the boot fits right.
