So it's the end of the year... How have you gotten hurt?

Just curious to see how fellow NSers have maimed themselves this year.

I was going strong with no injuries until today... Some asshole cut me off and I sliced my lip open on him when we hit eachother. It was bad... Blood everywhere. I even passed out haha.

6 stitches, fuck yeah!

Bit my lip open trying to huck a 360 off a tiny kicker. Badly badly bruised my hip after a whole night of falling on it trying to 270 and switch up on boxes. I could barely walk the next day. Came close to breaking my arm falling on it. That's about it, nothing really that bad. Would've had like 2-3 concussions if it weren't for my helmet.

No major ski related injuries (knock on wood it stays that way.) The other day I smashed my head on a metal pipe on a train from NYC, that was fun times. Oh and I got run over by a horse a few weeks ago, I thought I broke my hand where he stepped on it but it turned out ok. Other than that it's just been typical little cuts and bruises.

Broke some ribs, burned my hands/wrists a lot (FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU cooking).

Now that I think of it I remember when I was getting stitched up in the ER some guy from the resort came into the thing next to me....

The nurse asked him on a scale of 1 to 10 how bad the pain was. He said 9 and the nurse said "i'm sorry but we have already given you 3 shots of morphine... Let me go talk to the doctor"

She came over and asked the guy stitching me up what to do and he said some crazy ass pain killer I have never heard of. About 10 minutes later I heard the nurse and the doctor talking and they said the guy broke his clavicle, fractured 5 ribs and had a collapsed lung. I guess that's what you get for not knowing what you are doing on a snowboard, eh?

to the bone scrapes, cracked hip, bad concussion and fucked up ear from longboarding accident.. blown out knee with surgery earlier in the year.. broken thumb.. no biggy

I tore my acl last February and I waited more than ten months to ski again. I skiied four days and just found out today that I tore it again. I was wearing a goddam carbon fiber brace when I did it too which is really puzzling.

no lie i was trying a 3 off the last stair of the stairs in my house and i slipped and got a concussion.

i also got a black, blue, purple, green and many other colored bruise on my leg from trying switch ups on a pipe.

my friend told me it was impossible to sack this low flatbar so i tried a switch up and sacked it real bad right on the end of the rail.

i fell skating and landed in sand and cut my elbow and i had to get all the sand out with that soap stuff that stings so bad.

i fell skating again and slipped off my board and flew into the end of a rail

and more but they arent that bad

Um built a back country jump. Threw a three and sliced the jump. Idk what happened but I think when i fell my ski came of and sliced my knee. Four stitches on the top of my knee kept my knee strait for 10 days so I don't rip the stitches out. Longest ten days ever.

just today, i ate it, slammed my mouth into an ice chunk produced by a snowmaker. bit through lip. two stitches.

My ass and thighs haven't been their normal color since the season started due to falling on them. but i guess i should be happy. it's not nearly as bad as some other peoples.

I dislocated my shoulder in March. I also have the gnarliest bruise on the back of my leg. It's all hard and purple/black. Super attractive.

youre not going to believe this one.
alright so i never took health class my sophomore year (like most kids at my school do) so im stuck in it this year with 2 or 3 other seniors who were too lazy to take it two years ago. my health teacher managed to find the fucking nastiest pictures on the face of the earth of herpes and gonorrhea to put in her powerpoint about the dangers of STDs. i got so grossed by these pictures that i actually started to feel faint and weezy. Bell rings and the period is over. I stand up, and get light headed. The lightheadedness paired with the queasyness from the 45 minutes of nasty ass shit causes me to pass out. I fell backwards and cracked my head on the floor, giving me my second concussion of the year and the need for 4 stitches in the back of my head. luckily i have the hottest health teacher known to man so when i finally came back into conciousness, that was the first thing i saw

I would be so mentally handicapped right now if it weren't for Mr. k2 rant.

tore my ACL New Years Eve last year. knee was doing epic until a few days ago. popped off a little snow slope at the side of the run, landed on my left leg and felt a pop. started hurting when id fully extend my knee, the next run i stomped a fs 2 out on a FDF. still kinda sore.

Today I dropped a fifteen-twenty foot cliff and hit my face on my knees from landing flat. fuck. I also would have got frostbite if I stayed out any longer- no gloves from 11am to 6pm falling through pow on the coldest day all year
