it's because dogs actually live with people. If you have a pet dog, it lives with you. It needs you.

Cats on the other hand, merely allow people to live alongside them. You can yell at it, push it, do whatever you want and it won't give a damn because it does what it wants.

that's why cats are sick, they don't give two fucks. plus theyre not all needy and don't need attention all damn day. they'll come and chill for a while after raping and pillaging all the animals outdoor all day. i like dogs too, but they stink more often and are like 1/2 the responsibility of owning a child

My cat sleeps with me all the time, but other than that she is just a huge bitch. She stands on the steps and terrorizes everyone and scratches us. My 3 dogs probably made her this way but still: I like dogs a lot more.

fuck. fine. 1/3 the responsibility of owning a child. meanwhile a cat needs: food (but it will kill its own anyway if you forget), water, and that's it, maybe a litter box. my cat always shits outside and almost never uses the litter box indoors.

oh but forget that, i saw online the other day that it's not all that uncommon for people to train their cat to not only use the toilet but FLUSH IT. how nuts is that?

cats are okay but they don't have the same character depth as dogs do, dogs are way better companions and know how to love unconditionally, that's what makes them great family pets.

cats only love you when they want to.. you don't have to spend as much quality time with them (walking, etc) and they are just kind of 'around.'

also cats get stuck places and need to get rescued, and they can do fuck all if YOU are in trouble, whereas in those situations dogs are the shit. try walking down a dark alley with your cat on a leash and see where you end up.

cats are simply easier to own. Put some food in a bowl, a little water alongside, and provide a warm place somewhere in the house, and the cat will stay for it's entire life.

Do love hearing how people claim they love their dog like a child, how independent it is, how low maintenance and easy it is to own....then complain for 20 minutes, multiple times a day, when they have to take it for a walk.

I do enjoy dogs though. I just like cats more.

I just think cats are infinitely boring. There are different kinds of personalities on cats and dogs alike, and I've been told often that my dog is very cat like. Maybe I'm the attention whore, who gets upset when the cat (stereotypical) wouldn't give two shits if I wanted for it do come over or do something with it. But that's how it's been with most cats.

Have you ever met people who loathe dogs or cats? It's pretty fascinating, there seems to be no logic behind it. I dated this girl for a while last year who angrily hated dogs, but when I tried to make her say why, some childhood traumas or what, nothing. She just hated dogs for no reason.

haha yeah inexplicable hate in either direction is so weird. i have a friend who just repeats himself over and over "cats are disgusting creatures" i'm like bro.. they never smell like shit, they groom themselves fucking nonstop, they absolutely hate shitting near people, etc etc and all he does is shake his head and say "they're disgusting creatures" so weird haha

i don't buy a pet based on which one i can ignore more, if i didnt want to take care of anything i wouldn't get a pet. dogs are fucking awesome, while cats hiss, hide, and scratch. fuck cats.

dogs are the shit, i have nothing against cats, but i do not know the point of owning an animal that you cannot play with or that doesnt love you, like fish and cats and shit, when peoples cats die the people are so sad, and if a cats owner died it probably wouldnt give a fuck

My cat loves me to death and I love him. Dogs give love aimlessly, so it has no value. Anyone can gain a dogs love with a treat and petting session. It takes a true test of a man's character to befriend a cat, and once you do, you are friends for life. Anyone that has a good friend cat knows that they are more difficult, but better friends in the end.

It's quality over quantity I say.

false, it is difficult to connect to many dogs. cats just seduce for food you by rubbing there head on a wall and purring and then letting you pet them than they just run off somewhere else. cats are the real  sluts, they get waht they want from you and than leave you in the dust

no comparison

cats are great companions for boring people. like that crazy old lazy who sits in a rocking chair by herself and wants something to hold. plus, cats are easier to take care of. theyre very self sufficient. also great for somebody who doesn't want to put in any time with their pet. dogs actually do shit. you aren't going to put a cat on a leash and take it out for a run, or go to the beach and throw a frisbee for it. you dont have seeing eye cats for the blind. dogs can do all the same things cats can (which isn't saying much, because all cats do is rub up against your leg or sit in your lap for a quick cuddle) and then some.

dogs win, hands down. thread over, i trumped everyone, dont quote me, you lost the game, get owned nerds lololllollololl

cats are badass. theres no comparison.cats need like no maintenance, and they can chill with you on the couch etc. without worrying about it taking a shit or drooling all over your stuff. you don't need to monitor how much it needs to eat or make sure they poop every day. they live way longer and they DO have personalities. they just don't bother you with chores and special needs.

You can train non-retarded dogs to do exactly that if you wanted to. Some people just don't like having boxes of shit in their house.


Also, the argument of intelligence is rather silly. If you didn't teach kids how to use a toilet etc. they'd walk around crapping everywhere. This doesn't mean they're not as smart as cats.

Cats are nice and cute and whatnot, but they're cunts.
