Rodeo 3?

this might be s stupid question but i thought a flatspin 3 would be a lot flatter like most flat 5s are. when i hear of someone doing a 'flat 3' it looks to me like its more on the rodeo axis.

the only real example i can think of is a kangaroo flip (flat 3 to rodeo 5, as jon describes it) where the first flip really looks more like a rodeo 3 than a flat 3 to me.

am i an idiot or is this just another one of those technical glitches we like to ignore?

Technical glitch that is ignored, a true flat 3 would be really hard.

in the smith ads that show up on the top and side of ns, sage does a near perfect flat 3. but someone feel free to correct me on that

Dude if you wanna see a sick flat 3 just watch the first part of alexi's kangaroo flip that he won the dew tour with. Looked so clean and so different from alot other kangaroo flips!

You are correct. It is pretty much due to the fact that "flat 3" sounds nicer that "rodeo 3." And the origin of "rodeo" started with a 540+ spin.
