Backside 270 off help

im having a large problm with learning how to backside 270 off anything. i can do frontside fine just not backside. please help!

scissor your edge so the toe of your front foot faces down. look over you shoulder and start spinning just before the end of the rail so that you are in between regular grinding and switch 50-50 at the end. it should come around pretty easy. use your arms to spin if you need to at first, it's probably your unnatural way to spinning.

spinning that way is weird but i can fix that problem the main thing is i hit my skis on whatever it is im going off and i dont rotate enough

This. Also I found that if your trying it on a shorter rail, hop on and spin more than a 90 onto the rail. Then just pop off, look with your head and turn your shoulders and pick your tips up so they dont catch.

You can try to "load" your spin when you jump onto a box/rail.
Not that much that you start going backwards but keep the rotation-energy all the way.
Havin trouble explaining but mainly dont lock the spin with your heel cause then you have to start from the beginning with the backside rotation.

And remember to pop and commit.

Lead with your head, pop and spin with your shoulders and hips if you jump onto a rail or box and go a little more than 90 degrees it can really help you get into that 270 rotation.

look around with your head, your body will follow after
make sure to flatten out your skis when youre spinning, otherwise youll hit your tips on the rail at 90

if your hitting your skis on the rail, try to go on the rail faster. thats how i learned

You can do this but it means you aren't popping off the rail. I used to have this issue and I would only get them around if I was going fast and really threw them hard. Just keep your knees bent and POP OFF THAT BITCH!

be more patient, lead with ur head/shoulders, and bigger pop. Pop is the most important. if ur really scared of catching ur tips pop out to the side until u get more and more comfortable with straight pop.

pop more at the end/ pull up un knees a little so u dont hit the rail with ur skis, or just go faster so u will fly further out andur tips wont hit

if it's a short rail just set the rotation as you pop on and follow it through.

Yea, just dip your toe edge and lead with your head like heath said, if youre committed your body will follow.

not to change the direction of this thread, but do you guys lock, pop, then lift your front toe as to not catch, or do you just wait long enough that your front tip will clear the end of the rail/box?
