How do you get to I-80 Jump From Truckee California?
what youre going to want to do is hike all the way to the top of castle peak, on the north side of the road, then go straight back down, do NOT turn or you won't make the gap, then just jump. don't over shoot though or you might accidentally jump over boreal.
just make a gap in your backyard. try doing a 180 and come up short on the landing to get some serious whiplash and let your other 13 year old "homies" make fun of you next week. then tell them youre taking it easy becuase you got whiplash last time.
the I-80 jump is just north of truckee, look for the "vista point" as you head west on the road then take the exit and climb down to the top of the run-in. boot pack a little higher so you have enough speed to do a steezy speed scrub on the way up to the jump then put on your skis and point them up hill. you should start going backwards if gravity still works. look around your shoulder and make sure you don't miss the takeoff because if you do you're going to hit a CALTRANS plow. when you hit the jump set a sw cork right 9 (theres a tree you will hit if you don't do it, this way gets you in the right position to miss the tree)
be careful though because the snowbank on the other side of i-80 can build up pretty high and you might break your ankles if you don't clear it
