How do you feel about your skis? (no hate thread)

instead of talking about how upset they are their new skis are already ripping an edge or the countless other defects that can go wrong, lets talk about how happy they are with their ski choice. That way people can see real reviews from peers about the good side of the ski and not the bad. We all know the reviews on a shops website are fake half the time.

4FRNT TNK's- love em, have been super durable and no where near as heavy as I expected. They ride rails like a boss, 1 little edge crack is not stopping these babies from going 100 percent in any condition.

Armada AR6's from 08-09. Super impressed with how they have held up for so long. It is going to be my third season with them and I hope to get one more out of them.
They have awesome flex and are perfect for rails and jumps along with the small amount of powder we receive each year.

this year ON3P blue steeles- they are sex. funnest skis i have ever ridden. they slay the park. theyre fn everywhere only the mountain. they can handle a bit of pow.. and yea so much fun. they do chip a lot btu thats only cosmetic.

07 Invaders: Best park ski I have ever been on, simple as that. Perfect flex, and I can still shred in the crud.
08 chronics: Real durable, fast ski, awesome in the bumps and park. Too stiff for my liking.
09 Lizzies: I have never had more fun on a pair of skis. So soft and buttery, pow is insanely fun, park is just as fun, just have to stay out of the crud and moguls, they take you for a ride.
10 one lifes: Never skied rocker before, or anything over 181. So much fun, only skied them once on the groomers, and boy did they rip. Can't wait to bring them in the pow.

09/10 volkl walls, love them!

Very light

bomb proof
really strong bases, was car skiing in less than 1/2 foot of snow over concrete, drain covers kerbs etc, not a scratch!

dynastar slalom and gs race skis.
i like them, the gs skis could have a slightly more responsive tip... still better than my dads volkls though.

on3p caylor, also very good, pretty decent on groomers for how big they are, poppy, responsive :)

line invaders, i dont see how you kids can ski soft skis frequently haha

Surface New Lifes- skied 20ish days on em so far, over rocks and stumps and all sorts of hard shit, and I've only had two core shots. they're awesome in pow, they fit my skiing style super well, and they're all white like fuckin rick ross/

Anthems: super fun ski, although I don't really use them much anymore, but they ride switch great obviously.  A bit noodley but easy to butter on, and if you ride park, (which I don't really) they are great.

Bacons: My everyday ski, my favorite ski.  Just epic, Line struck gold with the SFB's.  The sidecut allows them to murder groomers, the 115 waist slays pow, the flex is perfect for me (5'9 135 pounds).  I mounted them close to true center maybe like -1 or -2, they ride switch wonderfully, overall just an epic ski, I'd recommend them to anyone even east coasters.  They are even fun in the park sometimes, although a bit harder to spin with.

Donner Party: Simply put they are the best pow ski ever made hands down.  In anything but at least 3 inches of pow they are the worst ski ever, but that's to be expected with the reverse sidecut and all.  The feeling you get while riding these in 1 foot + of light pow is epic, completely different feeling than any traditional sidecut ski.  I love these bad boys.

09/10 Line anthems love them a lttle heavy but have had nothing wrong with them there wide which is good for jibbin the backyard after it snows or for hitting jumps in the park.

09 Salomon Thrusters- great pop, durable as fuck, but a little stiff for my liking, butters aren't as easy on these, but they hold well on jumps and ice.

My RMU diams are holding up so well. They're on their second season. Really well rounded park ski.

My new RMU apostles are so damn sick too. Float pretty well in pow for a 106 underfoot, ski like a 185 when i want 'em to, and a 175 when i want em to because of the early taper. Destroy crud, hold up on groomers, ski switch well, and stomp hard. My favorite pair of skis i've owned.

this. slay park. rip groomers. can hold their own in the pow. stiffness+rocker=stable, supportive and buttery, the best of both worlds. about 15 days of rails and no edge cracks and pretty minimal topsheet chipping. they would have been the funnest skis i've ever ridden if i hadnt also bought...

Caylors. just epic. from groomers to crud to 2 inches of fresh to 2 feet of fresh there really are no conditions they arent awesome to ride in. i mounted them at -1 and the ride switch like a dream, no matter how deep it is. i even have a great time lapping the park when that time of the day comes. exactly the product and quality i was expecting when i ordered on3p. planning on supporting them and adding to my quiver for many seasons to come.

Line Abangs-slow slow slow & slow. I like the ski as far as rails & butters but the base just kills it for me. They refuse to hold wax & are beyond slow. Cant wait to sell them.

EP Pros- most fun I have ever had on skis first day I rode them in powder at Alta. Was amazed with the rocker & the ease in controlling speed. They even rip groomers.

These skis are magical. they are the perfect width for having a shitload of fun in the park while still being able to handle a reasonable amount of powder. With them being symmetrical, skiing switch is easy as hell. Also, they have butter zones, meaning that you can hold presses and butters until the cows come home. Carbon ollieband = monster pop, and they're not too heavy so they're defintly able to handle technical tricks. Overall, probably the most fun I've had on a ski. Ever.

Liberty LTE- Super light, durable, perfect for rails, super solid on jumps, can handle some pow considering that they are light, bamboo makes it poppy, ripp through crud, awesome skis considering that im 12 and im using 157 when im only 5 feet. They chip alot sadly

this years afterbangs: i really like em so far, surprisingly enough they hold there own even out of the park and in the park, obviously there great in the park, nice and flexy and playful. although they are a little heavy, but thats my only complaint.

ON3P Jmos - They just rip everything.  I've gotten used to their length and width in the moguls, and they now rip there too.  Best ski I have ever ridden and easily the best all-mountain ski, incredible construction too.

To the couple people complaining about chipping, here is my advice:
Don't hit your skis together on the lift if you do, that chips them up a shitload.
Try not to let them hit together while skiing; I know sometimes you can't help it, but just try.
Do what Rowen said, and sand down the parts that chip.  I just started doing this on my Jmos and it makes a world of a difference.

last years Elizabeths, they have been freaking awesome so far. only have 4 days on them so far, but they rode awesome in waste deep utah pow and shredded pretty hard on the crusty stuff today. they're a little harsh in the mogully/crud stuff, but so far they are the funnest ski i have ever ridden.

Anthems, soft, playful, great on rails, super quick and light on jumps. Only problem is they delaminated in the tip on one ski and the edge is ripping out under foot on the other... Good thing my domains arrive Wednesday!

just put the last nail in the coffin on my 07/08 Kung Fujas's. definitely got my $ out of them. really wanted to get a pair of last years KFs cuz of the rocker. but I picked up a pair of RMU Diams and cant wait to ski them. going to mount them with Hammerheads

I LOVE THESE SKIS

They are stiff, no butters are even possible on these bad boys, but they charge so well. I love charging. Nonstop down ragged runs and all that shit and they power right over it all. so sick.

also these are the funnest skis on jumps ever, so poppy and reliable.

My new ski will probably be a little less stiff, but other than that i wouldnt change a thing.

AMAZING doesn't even begin to describe them. And east coast skiers dream ski, rocker with edge hold on the ice, pop, soft and buttery but still stable, 90 underfoot to handle some crud, rails are a breeze, and they're pretty light. I'm still in love with these things...they're pretty much perfect. I've put a couple of edge cracks in them, but that's nothing new for me (I put 3 in the abangs first day last year) since I pretty much ski nothing but rails every day (plus I'm a terrain attendant at my mountain, so they get a ton of added abuse from that and they're holding up so far, I guess we'll see if they last the season...)

They can hold their own in the park, pretty stable on bigger jumps, and I can still rip groomers. Floats pretty well considering it's dimensions (124/85/114) and are rock solid. They are starting to loose their flex but considering I have skied the crap out of them for 3 years and they are foam core I am nothing but satisfied. Overall nothing amazing but good at everything mid atlantic one ski quiver.

My lizzies carve better than your mom's fancy cutlery, and they are not too bad with the jibbing and pow pow either. If its choppy out my 08 JJs iron the bumps out for everyone else. And when the heavens puke after a night of cloud parties, I break out the EP pros; cuz with them, too much snow is not in the dictionary.

bamboo core = light and stiff = tons of pop for a ski with minimal camber and rocker in the tip, i love charging on these bad boys, i love the blend of rocker and camber, enough rocker to not worry about diving when charging fast through pow and off drops, and enough camber to rip trenches at mach speed on the groomers. i ski alot of tight trees on the west coast and these things turn on a dime, even in a foot of heavy mt washington fresh i can still make these skis go wherever i want, in the park these skis surprised me, for not being a park ski these are still alot of fun, at 100 underfoot it made sliding boxes alot easier, but landing spins onto ice can be a challenge. i also mounted the 173 at +2 from the line for this year, so that made spinning easier without comprimising alot in the pow. due to the rocker nose butters are quite easy even for a stiff ski. salomon definatley nailed it with this ski, a true do it all, and i love not having to either debate over wich pair to bring, or have to change skis if i want to go from park to big mountain.

Salomon 2012. - I love them. Favorite ski I've ridden. Sick on jumps , okay on rails, super light. Perfect amount of flex for them butters. On po days these things are actually so fun in pow, turn really nice in it,

everything about my 2010 a bangs is great except for the bases.  i wax them and after like 5 rails they are super slow again.  the only pair of skis i have ever had before tem is some 06 salomon 1080's so i probably think afterbangs are amazing just cause im used to skiing on bad skis.

My favourite ski. Ever. Stiff, versitile, floaty, light. Everything I want for a one ski quiver. I mostly ski big mountain, I'm not much of a park kid, so I can't say much. I do know that I have trouble swinging them around sometimes for big spins.
In the steep and deep, these skis know what is up. The stiffness does wonders for when you're hauling ass down a line. Unlike some rocker skis, these things do not chatter.
In powder, it's everything I want. I can't sink them, super floaty, they love to slash in the deeps.

Downside, they have soft bases....took a nasty shot this early season. Tore out the edge. I guess stupidity got the best of me.
I'm getting a new pair of One Lifes. It's everything I've ever wanted. If it wasn't for the killing core shot, it would have been my first ski in 4 years to last more than a season without breaking or dying.

Liberty LTE's Light as Fuck but mounted them with a slightly heavier binding :( really poppy and probably the flexiest ski I've ever riden got an edge crack 7th day out which i'm not exactly psyched about but other than that pretty sick ski

07/08 (i think) anthems, the ones with the wolfs on them

seriously greatest ski ever. 3 hard seasons of straight EC park and some urban on them, still holding up great. sure there are some chips and some core showing, but still, they do everything i ask for. super flexxy, light, wide, perfect EC ski. i don't think i will ever ski anything under 90 mm waist after these skis
