Armada choice.

Recently, with saved money and christmas money... I got enough $$$ to afford some new skis. As my park skis dun-broked ive had only powder skis only for a while and really want something thats more stable with more of a stiff center and tail.

I demoed
-Icelantic Denalis
-Armada Alpha ones
-Armada T-halls
-K2 Domains
-Volkl Walls

I narrowed it down to either the alpha ones or T-halls. I love both skis, but what will be my long term benefits or losses to each ski? (looking for answers from people who have owned either). Thanks, +++K for good answers.

have you considered AR7s? they are basically a slightly stiffer and wider version of the t halls.

have fun trying to poke holes in the armada customer base that knows the products are bomber.

Coming from a girl who's boyfriend is an Icelantic Rep, I do not like the Da Nollie's and would never ride them myself. Unfortunately he hasn't been that impressed with this year's either. Had to take them to the shop because of severe chatter and it turns out the edges were way too high for the base.

About icelantics- yeah they were really chattery, didnt like them.

About T-Halls v. Alpha- Ive been reading more and more reviews and the T-Halls are starting to look even better.

I have this years T-Halls and they have been nothing less than amazing. Super fun to rip around on on groomers, even go to take them into some bumps and they performed superbly. Still waiting for some decent sized jumps, but overall, I'm very pleased with them.

I've also riden Alpha Ones, and I ended up selling them. I didn't like how short they skied, but they are also a fun ski. Fun to butter around on, stiff and stable on bigger jumps too. I don't think you can go wrong either way, but I would recommend the T-Hall/AR7 over the Alpha One.

My armada halo edges arn't holding up the best but the rest of the ski is, I also notice last years alphas and alpha 2 are better quality then this years

the defective edge i was refuring too was the early rise. when a ski is rockered the edge becomes defective because it isnt touching the snow.

the ar7 and the thall have the same dimensions, the thall is te softest of the two. the ar7 is stiff with the same flex pattern as the alpha 1s. if you want a ski thats stiff underfoot and stiff in the tail look only at the ar7 and alpha.
