i live in edmonton but im in canmore right now since the 24th
but like a week or maybe a little more ago it snowed a shitload and i was shoveling alot it was up to my ski boots and last week it was like -20 , definitely enough snow for urban , it may be hard and icy though.
and I'm stuck in Calgary! Wish I had money to go back home and ski the Horse!! Meanwhile outside, a little blizzard has been raging through this whole area.
drove down to banff from edmonton this week and was surprised there is hardly any snow in calgary at all. There has to be a couple feet of snow in edmonton, and it looked like just a dusting on the ground in calgary. Lucky bastards.
fuck, calgary is not getting any snow, there is a warning in effect. It's getting colder, and this "blowing snow" warning that's been called, I don't know if I can see it happening. It says it's supposed to snow today and tomorrow though. Besides that, the heat wave we had the past couple days melted some snow.
I take this back. It's been an apocalyptic blizzard here, and it's supposed to keep going till the end of the week. I went to Sunshine today though, once you get into the Rockies, the blizzard leaves.
So since the trans canada and castle mountain junction are closed my friends and i said fuck it lets drive all the way down to cranbrook then up the 95 to get to Kicking horse. And that my friends is what we did. /Claim
