What kind of film do you guys use? I'm on a Nikon N80 using generally Kodak Max or 400 film.

I'm not into photography, but my friend swears by HiDef, thats all he'll use.

kodak max blows....for a good all purpose film, i like fuji superia, or whatever its called.....but otherwise i like some ilford delta 100 for b and w and maybe some really saturated slide film like portra 75

i have that same camera, lately i have been using BW kodak tx400 i think.

i usualy use tri-x and a ramdome asortment of kodak color print film

when i used to screw with still photography (i mostly sucked at it compared to video) i used Fuji Velvia slide film in a 100-200 speed, seemed to work great, but like i said, im definately not a photog, haha

Hibachi King drops 9/9/04...and it shouldnt suck! hah

I don't know I've gotten some nice shots with Max film, I'd like to start using Fuji film though.

CONSUMER FILMS SUCK BALLS! i must now apologise for the caps lock. it just does that sometimes - i just can stop it...almost all colour films you will find in local shops are consumer films. if you've got a good camera then get an equally good film. for colour negative film try either the kodak portra range or the fuji pro range (im using Fuji NPH at the mo). for black and white negative film ilford are the kings although my absolute favourite is kodak tri-x 400. best film ever will do anything and can be pushed a couple of stops and still look amazing. as for slide film - dont ask me. tried a fuji film and got good results but far prefer the greater flexablilty and latitude of colour neg and b&w.

dude i use tri-x and i think its pritty grany(sp?), compared to other 400 speed films. its still a good film, and i got a good deal for 100ft of it so its all good

but its a very nice grain. there are certain speeds of film where there is just going to be grain. ok so you can find some 400 speed films with less, but i tend not to shoot tri-x at 400 asa but at 1600 asa. you should give it a go. good for sports that take place in dark gym halls etc. do you develop it oyurself or send it away?

i do it my self, but the devoliper im using right now dosent have instructions for pushing the film to 1600.... so i havent tried that yet
