After seeing him for a second in Like A Lion. I would like to learn about him more there isnt much i could find on goggle and youtube. If anyone could fill me in on him or has any interview or documentarys that would be sick, thank. I already saw the five mintute video from Bizzard of Ahhs.

Yeah I got appointed to council in October and I ran last April election and was beat out by the babylon candidates by five votes 'cause they couldn't fathom the idea of having a rasta man at their fancy dinner parties.

I would hope Telluride to look cool and funky and to keep a little bit of sense of some of our um uniqueness here that we have 'cause we're a mining town that was founded by hardcore miners. We're not a posh place for people to come and buy fur coats and dilly dally in fancy restaurants. This is a skier's mountain and a skier's town you know and that's what we're all about. My vision of Telluride in the future would be a funky unique place where dirtbags like myself can live in Inety with Jah Iration, seen?

I'm trying to prevent Telluride from becoming this world-class, snooty, ritzy place where only the rich and the affluent can live, you know? It's important for people like me to be here, 'cause this is what Telluride's all about. Funky culture, you know? And when I'n'I leave and all my brethren leave there'll be no funky culture left. You'll go to the Last Dollar Saloon and you'll see a buncha rich dweebs lookin' around at each other goin' "Where is everybody? I thought this place was cool and funky". 'Cause we're all gone and when we're all gone it's just gonna be another sellout ski area, i.e. Vail, Sun Valley, St. Mortiz and those other world-class things. That's what I'm trying to help Telluride to keep from becoming, is a world-class ritzy type scene, you know?

Also... uhmm who are you? I think you deleted the first part of your post by accident, you sort of just jump into this rant about rich people.

Wow... Truth, lies, fiction and fact... and an odd mixture of all. Rasta Steveh moved to Telluride the same season that I did. We moved there for the legendary "Deep December" in 1982 and played in the 8750 Reggae Band together for a decade. Check out http://www.facebook.com/pages/8750-Reggae-Band/200594660000875

Look for more on Rasta Steveh this year on the web show HIGHEST REGION that will be on Inspired Media this season.... oh.... whoops... You're not suppose to know that yet so don't tell anyone till they announce it officially.

But, Steveh is my Idren. He has been the announcer for the old Reggae on the River music festivals. He has inspired many people with his ultra friendly vibes. He is a family man. He has the ability to pissed off people and then turn around and make them laugh and walk away friends. He has been to Jamaica many times. The only place or time that I've seen or heard about him getting his ass kicked is on the mountain, because he loves to ski "the shit." And sometimes the mountain kicks his ass.

Steveh is still spinning Reggae and Dancehall in Durango, Colorado. Look for his story this winter.

Jah Steve, the town council dready. Telluride back in the day was going off. Steveh was the drummer of the 8750 Reggae Band... the highest reggae band in the world. If you want to hear some music from Steveh and the 8750... hit this link and click the song "Housing" or "Boss Fire" by 8750.

Wow. The old Telluride sequence from Blizzard... Skiers... Scott Rawles, Geoff Stump, Scott Kenett, Robert "Dogwood" Aguire, Lynn Wieland and some crazy loud Club A clothing. It's funny how all the bright ass colors came back a few years ago. I think the yellow jackets worn in some shots by me and Rawles are SOS. The is funny, pow on the old skinny sticks.

Pretty funny Stevie... I'm impressed to see you on here crushing the forums already. Unfortunately most of the trustafarians in Telluride are all about heroin and they never get on the hill sadly and thankfully. Either way Telluride was a different world back in the day. It was nicer when people with money didn't flaunt it like they do now. Oh well "the times are a changing," have changed and maybe will change for the better once again. Till then, RIP Telluride.

Yes, we all want to see that picture that you drew. Or can anyone else draw a picture of Stevie? Ha ha... Also... the Inspired Show "Highest Region" will be wicked... we'll have Rasta Stevie and some classic ski characters and some of the latest "throw down sessions" in the park.

I am fucking GEEKED that you dudes are on this forum....

I watched Blizzard of Ahhs & Maltese Flamingo for the first time last fall & they changed my whole perspective on skiing... inspiring work still, years & years later. I zudnick off of everything now.
