Hey guys. I'm trying to figure out what the sweet spot is on the Schizo binding. I was riding them at +1 up in Canada. Today I had them set at +6 and was way too far forward. I did three somersaults and popped out of them twice. What is the sweet spot for you and where should I put them to get them center mounted. I would love the help. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
it depends on what ski your on, how you like to ride, tons of other factors. the whole point is to be able to mess around with it and find out yourself.
I have never ridden one. but i have ridden the same ski with the bindings mounted differently. it makes a huge difference. I haven't heard any bad things about schizos that i haven't heard about griffons.
Yeah, today sucked. I somersaulted three times today. I was WAY too far forward. I should've had them back a little. I think I'm gonna have to play with them a little.
It actually does. If he mounted them 3 centimeters back from true center he could slide them up 3 cm for center and the back 3 cm for recommended. If not I cannot tell him how far forward for him to move them for center like he asked and where they would probably ride best. Please don't pretend like you know something that you don't.
You both have a point, but for k2 if you get the schizo system model the holes are pre drilled into the ski so the rails for the binding are all mounted in the same spot.
could you imagine saying to someone "yeah, my din is set at 28, think I might need it a bit higher though. Still pre-released on the quintuple-cork 2160..."
holy balls. thats a super low din. i do sextuple cork 2880 and my din is at 37. i still pop out tho when i hit the big jumps in my park. they are like 250'. nothin compared to colorado...damn the small jumps in minnesota....
It would seem like K2 would put the predrilled holes at their reccomended setting which sounds like it is 3cm back. If this is the case, then slide the Schizo up 3 for a center mount, leave it in the middle for back 3, or any other combination. It would probably be a good idea to talk to the shop where you mounted them or maybe just email k2 so that you know for sure though.
