Ok, so my mother got an Ipad for christmas for her work, but its really a "family" Ipad. I am setting it up for her because she is not technology driven at all. She got the Ipad that carries a AT&T 3g Network, and I am having trouble deciding between the 250mb or 2g data plan. I really don't know how much 250mb is or how quickly it could be used up.
if you are downloading anything, 250mb will not be sufficient. if you are only doing a bit of web browsing, then it may cover it but im not sure.
if you are gonna use the internet a lot for streaming videos, buying music off the itunes app, etc. then you may want to go with 2gb.
Okay well if anyone has an iphone or itouch they can tell you all their favorite apps and blah blah blah, but with an ipad those apps are just bigger and looks so much nicer on the big touch screen.
So really most apps are awesome and pretty to look at but these are a few of my favorite ones i have on my ipad...
-Google Earth is awesome
-Pandora (obviously)
-Epicurious (if you want recipes, probably the coolest app I've seen)
- USA TODAY (Most newspaper apps are all the same and really cool, but this one is more simple and has more features like photos of the day, crossword puzzles, weather, etc...)
- Cut the Rope
- Words WIth Friends (scrabble basically)
- Charadium
- Google (really cool on the ipad cause you can press the microphone button and say what you want to search and its incredibly accurate and super fast)
- Accuweather or WeatherBug
