I'll admit to probably getting over $1000+ in presents, but I don't think that makes me spoiled, or means that I don't know the value of money. I spent probably 350+ on presents for my family - I work hard, my parents work hard, and we're all very lucky. I'm thankful and will never complain, but I also won't ever take it for granted.
Let's not thinly veil jealousy with a "you're spoiled" or "you're ridiculous" call-out; I'm sorry you and yours aren't as lucky, but don't come hating on my scene because yours isn't as plentiful, for whatever reason.
That being said, merry christmas to one and all, value what you have, whatever it may be, and give thanks at every opportunity for the privileges in your life, no matter they be few or many.
