Got some money, haven't counted and probably won't.
My parents got me a ski the east shirt, was not expecting that.
They also got me a season pass to the beach where I surf, which I wasn't expecting ether. And that's good cause I missed my summer of surfing last year cause of acl surgery.
triple play card at creek, which is three lift tickets for a bit more than the price of one.

I may or may not buy myself a 135mm f2.8 (Canon fd so it's less usually way less than 100), but I'm gonna buy chemicals for developing color, some building materials for the longboard I'm gonna build and new boots cause mine just flat out suck.

To add to what people are saying about spoiled rich kids:

Sure, there are some kids who are spoiled. I know a guy, his parents bought him an iMac, iPad, iPhone 3GS, then a new iPhone 4 when it came out 3 months later. That's one example. It happens a lot, especially in the upper-middle class area near where I live.

Then there are some of my friends, myself included, who do things differently. We work a TON (I spent the entirety of August in boot camp, would've done July too but for a paperwork error). I got some nice stuff for Christmas, some may call me spoiled, but I also buy/invest a ton more value than I get for Christmas, and work hard to do so. I wouldn't call that spoiled.

I'll admit to probably getting over $1000+ in presents, but I don't think that makes me spoiled, or means that I don't know the value of money. I spent probably 350+ on presents for my family - I work hard, my parents work hard, and we're all very lucky. I'm thankful and will never complain, but I also won't ever take it for granted.

Let's not thinly veil jealousy with a "you're spoiled" or "you're ridiculous" call-out; I'm sorry you and yours aren't as lucky, but don't come hating on my scene because yours isn't as plentiful, for whatever reason.

That being said, merry christmas to one and all, value what you have, whatever it may be, and give thanks at every opportunity for the privileges in your life, no matter they be few or many.
