If your into a fun, buttery jib ski, get afterbangs. I love mine. Such a fun ski to throw around.
If your into big jumps, don't go for the bangs. Once you get over 40ft, they get a little sketchy.
I don't know much about Surface in general however.

Nah,there not really. It all depends on what binding you get. My buddy got griffins on his and they are way lighter than mine and mine have jesters on them.

I've heard Ninelives are sick light skis, but they have really bad durability.
I personally ride afterbangs. After 35-40 days on them they have held up great. Some minor base damage/topsheet damage, but still ride great. They are fun and soft and kill it on rails. They also hold up fine on small-medium jumps.

I love my Nine Lifes, super light and poppy. They aren't the most durable ski though.
