If you melt it you can easily reuse it. I don't think it's cheap, more like "I don't have parents that will buy me whatever I want."

i wouldnt, waxing helps remove impurities from your bases... no point in putting those graphite and metal shavings back into them.

its a really cheap thing to do cause as said above waxing is also cleaning your skis and your putting that dirt back into them. its like taking a shower, collecting the used soap and water and reusing it to take another shower.

Well the only point of the wax is to fill the pores in your base... don't see why a little dirt in there would hurt much unless you're racing in the wc.

I would say go for it, or just try to not put too much on to begin with so you don't have much left over.

Why do people always use the parents buying "excuse" or whatever. Stop always assuming that. Some people don't want to buy more wax if they use wax a lot or some reason. Sure it's not that expensive, but some is like 20 bucks which can be used for great college necessities.

If you ski rails a lot or if there is a lot of dirt/rocks etc, chances are the bases will be dirty, and the scraped wax will contain a lot of impurities. It's better to have a nice, clean, fast running base, than waxing that shit back on there.

used wax = dirty, don't reuse it.
if you wax your ski, dirt will come out off your base and bubble up into the thin waxfilm on top that gets scraped off...

if you are so poor or stingy, make sure you only use the minimal amount of wax needed... (when i wax and scrape my skis, the amount of residu wax is hardly any larger than a cube of sugar ....)

also, you can get big chunks of wax for cheap from your local shop, just ask a tech if they have some cheap wax....

if you're that cheap just rub the entire base with the wax like a crayon before ironing. there will be plenty of wax to cover the base but hardly enough to even scrape off. a single bar will last more than a season like this but its a bitch to rub that shit on so i usually just buy some bulk bars from toko on ebay.

No that defeats the purpose of waxing. It puts the dirt you just got out of the base, back in deeper.

If you're cheap about your wax, then crayon it on. Soften the wax on the iron and rub it along the base then iron it in. It uses a lot less wax with still decent dirt removal and hydrates the ski.

eeeryday, rinse with soap, hang to dry, and profit. shit runs money now a days and when you are gettin as much ass as most skiers are you need to cut corners. but never raw dog because a plane ticket halfway across the world to get away from pregnancy costs a lot of money as well.
