Dvx 100 filter

so i bought a dvx100 this year to get into filming. i am thinking i should buy a polorized(spelling?) filter for skiing. can anyone recommend me one and tell me the ups and downs of them. ive heard that it improves colours and tones the brightness down. thanks a lot for the help
