So i bought hot doggers this year. I was going to get the ace of spades, but money's tight atm. A pair used for three runs came into my shop by chance so i got them for $250.
Issues begin here: my foot's 27 pretty bang on, maybe a tiny bit smaller and my pair is a 26. I was assured that i could fit into the smaller size with the intuition liner no problem, so i went through with it. Now, the boots aren't particularly comfortable. I heat molded them, and they felt a bit better, but not much. Then i bought a superfeet redhot and re-molded them with the liner on top. felt pretty good in shop, but they wrecked my feet at the hill today. i feel the boots too small to get the footbed in the fulltilt since there's no removable footbed to begin with.
They felt the best yet once i took them out. the liner retained some arch, but i imagine i'm not getting any support.
SO, to those members out there who are boot fitters, would a legit, custom footbed do me better than the superfeet? would they fit in my boot? is there something i haven't tried? if they feel pretty good with the little bit of arch the liner gained lacking the space taken up by the superfeet, should i just stick with that?
not sure how cohesive that explanation is, but any help would be appreciated, because i want to stand by my frugal purchase.
