Abangs vs Chronic Cryptonites

Alrighty! So im 18, 5'10, 170 lbs, and a type 3+ skier, ski about 75% park, 25% all mtn. Im on the east coast, and pretty much stay in the park until we get a pow day. I rode Anthems for the last 3 seasons, and loved them, except for the fact that they delamed yesterday! Anyways, I'm gonna stick with Line for my next pair and I have it pretty much down to either the Chronic Cryptonites or Afterbangs. Was wondering how stiff the cryptonites really are, are butters possible with them? And do you think that 166 be an alright size for me? I feel like the 177s will be a tad large... Anyways help me choose mah next ski NS! any other skis i should consider??

i think you would do alright on cronics and im pretty sure you can butter on them.

I'd say the chronics are a better park and all mountain ski, while the afterbangs can be used out of the park, but are not ideal. I'd also def go for the 177s at your height...

blends are pretty nice to .. the new ones have early rise so are prob pretty easy to butter

I wouldn't recommend them for a more park oriented rider though. A little too wide no?
