In my opinion, raving is a scene that everyone does not fit into. Its one thing if you go to a pretty lights concert or something with different vibes, but there is nothing like excision, bassnectar, rusko. etc..Although this isnt for everyone it is deffinetly a blast and i think everyone should be able to experience it once.

i rolled at Deadmau5 when he came to Seattle.
possibly the best experience of my life.

I didn't plan on rolling but i had the opportunity to go to the show so i mean i kind of had to...
havnt rolled since... don't plan to unless something equally awesome comes up.

Its definitely fun to do on an occasion. I have yet to go to a huge show like the Electric Daisy Carnival but i had some friends who went last year and had an amazing time.. and i definitely want to try and make it to CA for the show sometime in the near future.

I live in Vegas and when Deadmau5 comes to town, shit is OVER! One weekend during the spring, he played three gigs in two days, totaling 10 hours of performing. What the FUCK do you mean "has he ever performed at an afterhours?"????? He re-wrote the goddamn book on Las Vegas afterhours!

Too bad Deadmau5 isn't even a DJ; he is a LIVE ACT. Two completely different things. If you want to take about the best DJs you look at guys like Seth Troxler, Ben Klock, Dixon, Marcel Dettman, etc. Now those are REAL raves, not pre-recorded shit like Dwadmau5!

You clearly don't know how he's running his Ableton sessions, so I'm not going to bother arguing with you. I'll simply say that Deadmau5 performs a "live" computer-based, MIDI-driven set. As for your argument about "pre-recorded shit"... what do you think DJs usuing CDs or vinyl are doing? You're making ravers look like idiots... please just shut up.

Ok, let's not get into a fight here. Just saying that Deadmau5 isn't very well respected in the clubbing scene. He might be a great festival show, but you'd never see him playing in a place like The Bunker, or pretty much any club in Europe. To me, a rave is in a club, not at a festival, and in a club guys like the ones I mentioned before dominate. That's just my opinion.

rolled at that one for my first time, having only heard of deadmou5 and only listened to a dubstep song like once before.

ended up not liking the show or drug at all. I couldn't get over how wierd and low class so many of the people were...

but im down to try it again with a legit group of friends. I kind of want to roll and go skiing.

whatever you end up doing, try and be as safe as possible.. I know it's not always possible to know exactly what you're taking, at least talk to someone whose taken one from that batch before.. have friends with you, drinking lots of water, don't be stupid..

i saw him at the tabernacle in Atlanta, it only seats like 2600 people, id say it was pretty much a club, although the tabernacle has had a number of artists in different genres have shows there

I played a rave once and have been to a few.

Hate the scene, the whole glow stick thing, the jeans that look like 2 dress sewn together, the furry animal packpacks, the wristbands that extend all the way up ones arm, the huge platform boots.

Aside from the way to over the top clothing and retarded scene, In my area atleast, the music is mostly hardcore techno, trance, and DnB. Cant listen to that music loud. Yet, I do really enjoy when there is the occasional dubstep/electro DJ.
