Thoughts on bluehouse?

picked up a pair of bluehouse antics this year, skiied my back yard 20ft PVC rail, and 1 day at the mtn and my top sheets are chipped up real bad just from normal riding, AND on my tails of both skis the edges are broken... ik the whole "you get what you pay for" cause i only paid 275 for em but c'mon bluehouse, your a new company, get your shit together

anyone else have shitty experiances with them?

Well all skis chip. and i hope you know that a ski edge isnt completely uniform... its probably where each end of the edges meet. If it is an edge crack, send bluehouse an email and use the warranty that came with them.

ya ik that all skis chip and stuff, but the chipping is bad, and from normal riding too, and same with the edge cracks... thats what i was saying. once i get home from europe im going to send em an email, then i have to pay another 35 bucks to get a pair of bindings mounted haha

Yeah they are a new company, and you've kinda got to expect this from new companies. No one is going to have spectacular durability right when they start out. I mean look at back in the day Armada..
If they keep truckin, they'll probably get better

Chipping has nothing to do with durability. Chipping is you smacking one of the skis into the other. Thats all you.

yaa, thats what im thinking, but still, my invaders after being pounded for 2 seasons the chipping wasnt bad and nothing wrong with the edges. hopefully they get better cause i love how they ride and feel i just figured they would be a little better than this

well with some companies the edges meat at the tails like liberty skis, on my laroses they look like cracks but the edges are bend and formed to the ski they are not one uniformed piece, its just the way construction is

ooo, thats what i was thinking but there starting to pull away, just slightly, like not smooth, idk i just figured for a ski company for freeskiing especially should create something durable, but i have to give it to them, dope graphic, all around nice, fun, light ski

if a ski company made a ski that was durable, they would never make any money. they make money off you trashing your skis and buying new ones from year to year.

Invaders are capped construction which tend to not chip much.
Bluehouse are sidewall which usually chip more than capped skis.

Suck it up it is just cosmetic.

not at all. i dont care my skis chipped, im just saying from normal riding they chip really bad, not even cliicking them together on jumps or rails just riding... and my friends skis with side walls dont chip nearly this bad from park riding let alone just cruising the mtn...

I just purchased a set of MR's off ebay last week. Still haven't gotten them in or tested them, but here's what I read about them before I purchased



Supposedly the construction of the skis has gotten a little bit better in the last year or two as opposed to the first couple of years of production.

Also, people have said the chipping is bad the first couple of times you ride, but seems to diminish after that (maybe its just b/c the people quit caring about ever new scratch and didnt really examine them much after the first couple of times)

My buddy got a pair of Maistros (sp?) and he fucking loves 'em. I skied with him all weekend and he was killing it on them.
And they weren't breaking.
