I have no one to ski with, and am always soloin it.  Everybody at my school, that skis ,is with the theatre crowd.  They all enjoy wearing lycra and dressin up like fuckin cats. Not a sob story, just want some input on what to do....

Damn that's a shame, I always thought the theatre kids at my highschool were complete fuckin jackasses.  BTW wrong forum, should be in ski gabber, maybe a mod will move it.

skiing alone doesnt bother me at all... i often prefer it cause i can just bump my tunes and relax. im kind of a loner anyhow.  i enjoy skiing with friends as well though.  skiing in general is a good time.

I like skiing with friends too, but going skiing with only 1 person/your best friend is just awesome.

Love it. Skiing for me is like freedom. So, therefore, I can just shred and jam to my tunes. Letting my mind run wild is always good. It's a great time to think and just soak in how awesome life is.. that free time to yourself. Ahhh skiing, how I love you so.

But of course.. a shred sesh with the buddies is always a blast!

I like skiing pow alone. Bump tunes, ski fast, talk to randoms on the lift about pow stashes, etc...

I hate skiing park alone though. If you don't know anyone that skis park, just talk to people that look like about your ability level and see if they wanna ride together.

its fun to hike booters or jibs with your buddies, encouraging each other and helping with progression, but when it comes to shredding and running long, smooth lines, i prefer to do so alone; at my own pace, music goin, hit the singles line and go up and do it again.

It all depends but i usually have way more fun skiing with a group. People to share the experience with ya know. Everyone says no friends on a pow day but i disagree. Last weekend was an epic pow day and we probably had a crew of at least ten kids just rippin through the trees, hootin an hollering. It doesnt get much better than that.

Even in the park  riding with a crew is more fun cause you push yourself to one up your buddy whenever possible. I feel like i try way more new shit when im with a group than if i was by myself.

I'm about to go off for a season in switzerland with no job and just a couple of vague acquaintances. I figure i'll do a lot of solo riding at first which I enjoy. But its also fun to ride in a group, I've done a similar trip before and its easy to meet people, just chat to people that look like your kind of riders on the lift and see where it goes.

I love shreddin with friends but thats also cuz my friends are funny as fuck. We always just joke around when riding. Solo riding isn't horrible though. Gives you more time to think and then the skiing is on your terms and where you want to go. I'm too afraid to ride solo though just in case I end up hurtin myself. Which is highly likely hahaha

I like skiing trees alone, but that really is a bad idea and I've proved that to myself. Park I like to ski with anyone, and for everything else I only like to ski with other people if the charge.

you said it. I always find that when I'm having a bad day or in a bad mood, If i ski by myself and bump my tunes I'm instantly in a better mood. Theres no one telling you what to do, you get to control your whole day.

skiing alone is one of my favorite things to do. There's so much freedom and you can go as fast as you want and go on whatever trail. It's probably the most relaxing thing out there
