idk what i should think of this thread. i mean, it seems like all of ns users grandparents are fucking nobel price winners or stuff like that.

at least 5 of them shot hitler, the other one was the kid in free willy, another five of them had the idea for knight rider and the next 4 invented the reverse camber and afterbang.

/sarcasm

mine, idk, one of them hasnt done anything i would say. the other was in HJ in WWII and was prisoned (at least he told us so, but he was very young, maybe more like kept under control) when the US army freed the south of germany.

both of mine are dead, one i dont know who he is the other fought in wwii, built houses then went blind and died before i was done due to diabetes. my great uncle developed fiberglass tanks for chemicals, and pretty much lead that industry, he just died, idk if that counts as badass or not.

My grandpa was hella rich, and he did all the electrical work for Disneyland and Angel's stadium.
I have a picture of him with Walt Disney, nbd.
And my other one fought in Vietnam and got sprayed with agent orange and now he gets monthly checks from the feds for it. And he was the head mechanic in the Budweiser hydro for like 20 years, he's good friends with August Busch III (the former owner of Anhauser-Busch beer)

My grandpa invented something to do with the 2 way wire so you can send the electricity one way and get it back on the same wire. He can also build almost anything. Like for example he made a steam powered rocket car for the little kids in our family. My other grandpa is a really fluent spanish speaker  and was a college professor.

Just throwing this out there, why are all grandfathers total bad asses? Cuz I know when I'm that old I probably won't have done half the cool shit any of them have.

He was a gunner on a battleship in WWII.

my one grandpa rose from the very definition of abject poverty to fall into the "rich" category.


my other grandpa fought in Korea and died of a heart attack at like age 60 when i was 2. so yeah.

I take that back. My one grandpa boils sugar in moonshine for breakfast instead of coffee. I always thought that was pretty badass. And my other grandpa just made out with the amercan dream (came to this country with nothing now hes loaded).

my one grandpa was a judge in China after he finished with the navy. He was in charge of one lady who is now the head judge in all of China. My other grandpa built the school for his village and was the principal for it. he owned the only tv in all of his village so when a good show was on the whole village would come and crowd around and watch.

My grandpa lives in Florida for half the year and for the rest travels around to visit all his family. He also saved mcdonalds a million dollars while he worked there by writing a new computer program to help distributing of foods.

My Grandpa on my dads side was the CEO of the company that makes disc drives back I'n the day and now he is on the board of BLU Ray players. My Opa my moms side he is also like my Grandpa lived I'n Nazi Germany as a Kid when he was 18 he boarded a ship to new York came here as a imigrant became a citizen and now he owns an AUDI car dealership I'n Boulder, CO

My Grandfather was the youngest French soldier to fight in WW2 at the age of 15 (he lied about his age to get away from home). He fought in the French Underground. He also played jazz with Louie Armstrong a few times.

im just going by what i am told. although, last year my mom emailed me this piece that an author wrote about my grandfather. it mentioned something about him being the youngest (or one of the youngest) but i mean who knows right? you make a good point.

One was a WWII bomber pilot, got shrapnel in his head, survived then lived out his life being healthy till like 89 or somewhere around there. The other is still alive, lives in CO and has mad nice woodworking equipment and can make amazingly nice furniture.

My grandpa left home at 16 and built aircraft carriers for WW2. He then enlisted at 17 ( lied about his age) and worked in the engine room on a destroyer in the pacific. He was in quite a few battles. During one a torpedo scraped the side of the ship but didnt explode. If you worked in the engine room and your ship got hit your were completly fucked so I have a ton of respect for him working down there.

O and he has an insane pain tolerance. One time he droped a cinder block on his foot and it messed up his big toe nail. The next day he pulled his big tonail off with a pair of pliers because he knew it would eventually fall off.He also dosent take any pain meds if he gets a tooth pulled or after a surgery. Basically hes a total badass.

My grand pa on my dads side was takin from his home and put in a japanese internment campin ww2 and my other granda was gonna serve in ww2 but hurt his leg skiing now he owns a ski shop and skiis every day

my other grandpa who was a helicopter pilot in vietnam was telling me stories the other day of wasting enemy troops, hundreds at a time. sounds fucking gnarly. just machine gunning the shit out of hundreds of people.

My Grandpa used to do freestyle skiing. He is the one (with his friends) who made my home mountain. When i visit him sometimes we build a big jump together in the BC and he drives me on his snowmobile so i can jump!
