Replying to I've been thinking about music...
No, i'm not high.
Just think about it.
Rap/hip hop and most of music is one big game. It's sometimes a competition between two or multiple artists: For example - Eminem vs. Benzino (Just an example.)
It's a big game to either show how good they are, dis other artists, or tell a story.
Artists like Kid CuDi are trying to tell their story. He came out of nowhere and wanted to tell the story of his life - where it began, his troubles and his obstacles, all it did was rhyme into a form that made sense to all of us, for the most part.
Then, of course there are artists who just sing to make money and are completely controlled by companies - they don't get to write their own songs etc, they aren't as real as they can be - whether they want to be or not.
Then there's the Justin Biebers who get multi millions for writing a song a bunch of teenage girls love - then get wrapped up in all of it and don't do it to tell their story any more. (that is, if they even did it for that purpose in the first place.
A lot of the time, they aren't even making the music to make money - they just want to tell their story, or their in some dispute with another artist - it just ends up on youtube or they decide to make it into an album. In their heart, it's not for the money.
And we just get the privilege to listen to it.
