would like to see you put a lip at the top of those ski jumping ramps and jib off that...

anyone else like to see that? 120ft tables are sweet but 600-650ft jumps would be insane!! I know you got the whole wind resistance thing but it cant be much more different to seth hucking off a 70ft cliff (right?!) besides i have full faith that you guys will be able to work something out

i don't think it would work, the ski jumpers are in spnadex and on huge fucking skis to get that far, they are gliding to get that far, a new schooler on short skis and baggy clothles wont make it to far at all, plus ski jumpers are never to high off the ground. Also there is no way we could get the same speed off the ramp as they do. you will get more air off a 120 foot table than one of those jumps i would think.

Whoever posted that first pic of those massive jumps, my cousin and I were talking to this dude at a xc ski center because we saw the skis that you need for those there and we asked don't you get hurt when you land? He said you'd get more bruised up going off a table in your regular park, because he says you're only like 10 feet off the ground. So you don't really have that much air to do something, they're just like soaring above the ground.

I don't know if that's true, just something the dude said.

^ haha my thought exactly. so lets say your 15ft off the ground, thats high enough to be hucking. I think its would be tight to be going twice as far but half as high. 30ft air is sick, but you can throw pretty much the same shit at 15ft up (not like you're gonna knock your head on the ground half way through a flip) but 600+ft gaps are what i'm talking about

theres one of those by my local hill and a kid died on it cause he hiked to the top and went off it on a sled, the jumps were closed for like 2 years then. man can you imagin what went throught that kids hid as he was coming down the in run?

they might not be more than 15 feet off the ground but they are going lke mach 3... you fall on a ski jump of some twin tips and its all over instantly if you lucky.

well i busted some steez with my home boyz t-dizzle and C.R hommee. we shredded the mountain like it was da atomic bomb dawg. then we whent shredding in the backcoiuntry. tanner was scared and pooped in his pants. so i wacked him in the head with some line skis i found and then i burned them in a pit of doom. then pep dawg came and jumped off a cliff. and unluckily for him he pooped. then c.r tried to save him becasue he is gay but he pooped to. but then sane came and got down saftely. but pooped becasuse of the fire pit. then i jumped too only i did a cork 10000000000 1000 backflip 180 and stomped it.

its different from ski jumping if there's a kicker at the end of a ski jump. the kicker, believe it or not, would 'kick' you higher in the air, so you wouldnt be floating 10-15 feet off the ground anymore. you would clearly cover less distance than a ski jumper, but still, the air time would be sweet.

not to sound like an asshole, but i'm obviously the only one who's ever hit a nordic jump. lanks is on the right track, there is no lip on the jump. you go straight down, there are tracks set in the snow so no speed checking or else you die and the lip is just straight. you do sail straight out but then the ground just drops off. conceptually, it seems like you could do some tight shit like 180s all floaty off butttt holy shit... its a fuckin trip. if you go off a 50m jump, its one of the most intense things you'll ever do on skis. the landing is steep as fuck too so basically... once somebody can bomb chad's gap switch and zero it without giving themselves a coronary, then a zero off a ski jump could be done.... holy shit that would be cool.

someone on twintips wouldn't fly nearly as far, especially if they're doing a trick. It would still be huge but it wouldn't be as long as those ski jump guys.

yeah the only reason those guys fly so far is because they have minimal wind resistance, and they are also getting lift from their position in the air. you wouldn't float like that if you hit it with normal skis and tried to do a trick or whatever, you'd just plop to the ground
