HMC40 vs HMC150

Hey NS,
Ive researched both of these cameras, and obviously the 150 is better. But my real question is is it worth the extra grand for the 150 vs the 40? Does anyone have experience with either of these? Thanks

and i was in this situation a few months ago and got a hmc40. the only main thing it lacks is lowlight perfomance.

get the 150, or check out a used hvx200 for about 500-1000 bucks cheaper. the P2 workflow is very nice compared to AVCHD

 While the P2 workflow may be better the cost of the cards is significantly more. Just food for thought.

this is true. Although filming on a DSLR I've found myself really only needing one 16gb card

That really depends. I have had occasions where I have needed two 32gb cards.

yeah but HVX films at a much higher bitrate than hddslrs, i have a 32gb card and its barely enough.

Sorry didn't finish. In p2 that would have been a $900 dollar p2 card or $100 in sd cards.

If you want more of a professional camera, do hmc150, if you want a camera you can throw on auto and film with your friends, get the hcm40.
