Replying to PK-EF adapter problems.

So i just got an adapter for a bunch of old pentax lenses, but the problem is the lenses dont sit straight. This isnt really an issue with shorter lenses, but for my 400 with the tripod collar the "top" of the lens is actually about 30 degrees to the left of where it should be, and thus the tripod collar is also at a weird angle on the bottom, making it useless. Am i an idiot and doing something wrong? or did i just get a poorly made adapter?
