My Mac won't detect my GoPro

I realize that this shouldnt be in this forum, and that I'll receive a lot of park rat hate for it, but I really need to figure out this sitch before the next couple days...Trying to put together a banger Squaw edit with the crew.
Just got a GoPro Hero HD and it won't get recognized by my Mac. The camera didn't come with any software for the computer so I dont know whats going on.
Please help me out! A sick Squaw edit is on its way, a combination of this storm we've got going on and people who like to go big (including Wilson) will be presented sooner than later. Thanks guys!

Press the ON button while its plugged in and it should pop up. Happened to me and that worked.

Like that guy said. Make sure you turn your camera on once it plugged in. Should say USB on the LCD screen. If nothing pops up, look on your desktop. Should have a little white box thing somewhere labeled as "no name" If that doesnt work, turn live view feed off. Meaning it wont be using ur mac screen as a dispay for what it is filming. If both of those aren't working, then go into your computer and find the removeable disks. it should be in there labled "no name" once again. =)

you could also work with the SD cards ...
i virtually never plug in my gopro to transfer footage, i just take the SD card out and put that in my laptop ..

you need to delete it out of your trash can to fully delete it off your sd card
