Replying to Beginer in park, pro downhill.. what kind of ski for park?
Bold & Underlined for lazy ppl :D
Hey, just joined the forums. I was born n' raised as a downhill skier shreddin blacks like no 2maro. When it comes to the park, well.. i really have only ever messed around on boxes. Iv never had twins always downhills, so its kinda hard to shred the park. A few years ago we move from Cali to Michigan (Boooo!!) and now all i have the option of doing is 200ft crap. So i want to shred park. Id probably say im looking for 70% park 30% groomers. There no pow in southern michigan :[[[[
Today I went to a local shop and took a peak at some twins. Iv always had my eyes on chronics and ar7s but right now my budget is $600 and im kinda of want good bindings rather then pay 550 for chrons and end up with dollar store bindings. My friends tell me to stick with armada/line for park.. and from what iv seen i like that idea, but if there is some tight ass ski that atomic sells in a back ally for organs or something I want to know.
So I came to the conclusion that I could get masterminds ($350 after tax.. gives me around 200s for some sick bindings), the reviews on the internet are sketchy as shit.. some ppl say there great, others say its ski from the bargin bin. Honestly, if it just gets me through one season and i can sell it in april and buy 2012 models next year thats fine. One thing i cant tell is that "beginner" keeps poping up... is this beginer in park or is it just a beginner ski? Also one turn on for me when out of the park is that i could hit all those tiny jumps going backwards, if the masterminds arnt symmie.. is that gonna fuck shit up?
Oh, i also dont care about big air right now, I want to focus on gettin spinny on rails, boxes, and tiny-medium sized jumps. The only reason i dont want afterbangs is because i dont feel ill be in the park 100% of the time. Also what are your thoughts on suspects?
PS. There aint no pipes either..
