How to centermount/screw around with bindings?

So the other day I found some shitty 150 atomics in my basement. I want to center mount the bindings on them, and adjust the bindings so my boot can fit in them. I want to do this because I'd rather backyard jib with these pieces of shit rather than my new skis..
searchbar'd and google'd.
Any help, websites, anything?

there are too many factors involved in doing this yourself, just take them to your local shop and get them mounted where you want them. It will probably only cost you $30-40 and save you a ton of headache.

Collin just did this exact thing with my older twins. I used the general idea of this video but not all of the templates and shit. I initially used them for jibbing but theyre pretty fun so ive been ripping them pretty hard all over the mountain and the mount has held up really well, but i know it prob. isnt permanent.

i moved them from 3.5 back, to center. Dont screw up if your gonna try cause you really only get one shot

It's really pretty easy, you can make paper templates for your bindings if you pull them off the skis. I usually just put a piece of paper or cardboard between the bindings and ski and trace, measure, mark. I wouldn't recommend doing this for skis you actually ride somewhere that's not your backyard though..

download paper templates off of tgr..they work great..ive mounted a few pairs using these templates and its worked pretty well..

i wouldnt recomend mounting your own skis at all even if it is for backyard jibbing. you can mount them crooked so you are riding a lot on your backyard set up, so you get used to sliding weird on the rail, so when you go to the hill you try and slide the rails the way you have been and eat shit, just a possibiity i was told when i wanted to centermount my own skis, ended up paying to get it done.

1. get a piece of carboard big enough to fit your boot with both toe and heel attached
2. place toe and heel into/onto boot.
3. take sharpie and mark where holes on binding are as well as center midsole line of boot
4. take knife etc. cut small holes where dots are
5. place template cardboard and line up midsole line where you want the mount to be on skis
6. take sharpie and mark dots through the holes on template onto ski
7. remove cardboard and select a bit which is noticebly smaller than screws you will be using.
8.drill where holes are about half way through ski or get a feel for when you start to hit base
9. fill holes with gorilla glue
10. place toes and heels on ski line up holes.
11. screw screws until they hit bottom.

Well here it is: If you need to ask how, you probably shouldn't even try.

Don' t waste your time, skis and knees doing this on your own. Take them to the shops and get it done by a qualified professional. It is not expensive. Instead of spending the afternoon messing around with a drill, have the shop do it in ten minutes. It will give you more time to ski.

dont waste your money on a shop if they are going to be backyard skis. mounting skis is fun builds character and is relatively cheap

Yeah I guess it is good to try stuff... but you know you can still get reallly hurt in your backyard and a tweaked knee is good for character but bad for skiing.

Follow this thread in tgr and you are set... I have mounted my own skis and it really isnt that hard if you have a drill press and all the proper tools though a drill press really is not necessary.
